RobotBASIC Projects For Beginners

I purchased this book to introduce my students to computer programming and an introduction to video game design at a charter school. I like the use ofrobot basic because if a student learn basic it will help them segway in more advance program such as java script and c++. Over all I liked the book. It would be nice if there instructor addition that had the full code to the games. Not having this made it difficult to help solve issues that student were having. Many of the student became frustrated and gave up. Some pushed through and and completed all the projects. I think that it a great start to the curriculum, but it can be improved. Overall I would give it a C. I do look forward to the authors video game design book that has been promised for the last couple of years. I have not regret buy the product I would like to improvement to later additions

This book is great, it has a work your way through style to it takes you from first steps to making a simple game and adding physics. each project builds on the ones that came before.

RobotBASIC Projects For Beginners is an excellent introduction to the RobotBASIC language. RB allows a programmer to create an environment for a simulated robot (complete with simulation of bump sensors) to test logic and algorithms. RB can be downloaded for free. The language is a powerful language for robot simulation that can also be used for non-robotic, general purpose applications. Despite being powerful, the language is a great language to use in a teaching setting.

I dont find this book so usefull because ís too ligth, dont give a clear concepts structure, they take you to follow exercices but dont explane fundamentals

Good robot book

Great book for any level of learner. With good introduction activities to help you understand the concept of RobotBasic.. My students thoroughly enjoyed!!
