I made short work of some seriously overgrown bushes. I was done with the entire project in 30 minutes; if I used the typical loppers, not only would it have taken me about 3 hours (I’ve done this before) but I likely wouldn’t have been able to get everything I needed. Buy these. Can’t recommend them enough.

These loppers are amazing! They cut through limbs like butter. If the jaws can fit around it, they can cut it. If the branch is thick, you can’t reach very high, as you have to open the handles up so wide that you lose reach. Like someone doing the splits, you lose a lot of height. But they are really good at cutting through just about anything.

These loppers will easily cut through green wood up to 2-1/2", and pretty easily through dried wood up to the same diameter. You won't believe the difference compared to normal loppers. You will still want a 'normal' pair of loppers though. Do yourself a favor and keep a pair of these and the Fiskars Forged Loppers. These geared loppers require you to open the handles very wide in order to get the jaws around bigger branches, which is a lot of extra movement that you won't want to be doing when it isn't needed for smaller wood a regular lopper will work on.I find the quality of both of our Fiskars loppers to be top notch.

These are amazing, just a beast at cutting large branches and small tree trunks. I'm very satisfied. For use in my yard.

I used these loppers extensively over the past year trimming trees and cutting up limbs into pieces for the fire pit. It is a very solidly built tool, and I found that I could cut through almost any sized limb that would fit into its jaws. However, after a lot of hard and forceful cutting the blade eventually broke. I was so pleased with them that I was preparing to order another of the same loppers when I noticed that the company offers a lifetime warranty. So, I contacted Fiskars and sent them a picture of the tool and they promptly responded notifying me that they were sending another. That's some great customer service on top of it being a great tool. Good work Fiskars!======================================Updating on this review... My warranty replacement just arrived, but much to my chagrin they did NOT send a new tool. Instead they just sent the broken part (the cutting blade). I am apparently expected to repair the tool myself.

They are not lying about that it can cut up to 2” limbs. They are so handy, I’m trimming up a forest.

Works like a charm! Smooth cut. The handles do need a lot of space to open wide enough for the blades to go around a branch so probably not a good fit if you need to get into small or confined spaces but great product for what I need it for.

They work well. The gear provides mechanical leverage which reduces the force required to cut bigger objects.
