Liquid Fence111 Deer and Rabbit Repellent, 1-Gallon Concentrate

We have many flower beds and plantings around our property. We also have a very high population of deer in our development. I switched to this product after having used Deer Out for a few years. The deer got to used to the Deer Out and I had to spray more frequently. The liquid fence seems to keep the deer away much longer between applications.

Spray plants once daily for week, then once weekly for a month then once monthly. Utilize spray day that rain not forecastThis stuff works if utilized the above method and smells so bad even neighbors and visiting family may not come over. That’s not all bad

We used it to keep deer from eating our plants. It smells terrible!!!! But overall it works pretty well

Oh, yuck! This smells like the bottom of a dumpster used for vomit on a hot summer day. It truly keeps the deer away. I wish my dog didn't actually like it! Although the label advises reapplying after every rain, I found that the deer quickly learned; I applied it only 3 times and the deer stayed away the remainder of the season.

I could not have a garden if I did not use this product. I have used it for many years now. I have tried other products but I keep coming back to this one. It is the only one I have found that keeps those darn deer (and bunnies and ground hogs) out of my gardens. I have several large gardens with tons of lilies and hostas (deer favorites) and if I keep this on the plants, the deer stop even coming through the yard. However, they will test now and then to see if the smell is still there. So it is a must to put it back on after a hard rain. Warning! This stuff reeks enough to gag you!!! However, the smell is pretty much gone the next day but the deer can still smell it. Amazon is the only place I have found it in this size. It will last me through the seasons till winter. I buy a new one each year.

Nursed a Hemerocallis for two years without issue and was going to bloom in a big way this year for the first time. There were a dozen or more healthy buds on the plant ready to burst open. A deer came one night and ate every one of them!!!! Gone!!!! And then the deer ate half of a new Hosta which I had just planted and it was a nice big one that I had just obtained special for a new garden expansion project. Not only that, they started going after my five year and well established Astilbe too!!!So what to do? A fence? Shoot the deer? A fence and shoot the deer? A wall? A courtyard? Well... I have 3,000 square feet of garden so fence would be too expensive and detract from what I was trying to do. Shooting is no good because not only would that be illegal but there are always more deer and I don't have the time to wait in ambush every night.Soooo.... try this I guess.It works!!!! It really works!!!!I sprayed a whole lot at first, mainly out of desperation and despair. Then I calmed down and now only apply after it rains or twice a month if there is no rain. It is coming up on dry season here in Wisconsin so I anticipate less need to spray in August.Thank you for making this product. Thank you so much.

United Industries (Spectrum Brands) replaced this concentrated 1 gallon version which made up to 16 gallons of Liquid Fence with a 1 gallon version that makes only 10 gallons. I wrote to them asking for an explanation and their response was "United Industries prides itself on manufacturing quality products at value pricing; for all consumers. Due to the increases of manufacturing costs, it has been determined that most consumers prefer a decrease in coverage area; rather than an increase in pricing. While the coverage area of this Liquid Fence container has been reduced, the product performance continues to remain as effective as its previous formulation" I don't see a similar price increase for the Liquid Fence that is pre-mixed, so the explanation seems a little weak. Used it every week for 2 weeks, then every other week for 2 more applications. I have aggressive deer that eat my Techny Arborvitae every year and was hoping to stop them this year but not much has changed with this product. From others, it sounds like it works great if you don't live in a heavily wooded area like I do.
