Playing pieces hard to use
The playing pieces were hard to use because they were so thin. In fact, they only stayed in the trays due to static electricity. Chunky cardboard pieces would not stack well in the center board - so I understand why they are thin, it just makes them difficult to pick up and won't last as long.Otherwise we had no issues with the game. We used this to practice all our adding math facts before started subtraction. One of the better math games out there.

Fun tool for learning fact families.
I work with elementary school kids (grade K-5) that struggle in math. This game is a great learning tool that’s fun. It looks simple, but it offers a challenge too. For younger kids (grades 1-2), it was often time necessary to give them a few minutes to find their answer then everyone would “help” the player find a solution. Instead of making it really competitive, I presented as a fun learning game where we can help each other. The kids love it!

Engaging game for 1st graders.
This game is awesome. I purchased one for my granddaughter and I forgot where I ordered it from so I ordered another one from Amazon. When I got both of them I decided to donate one to her school for her class to use. The teacher loved it. I volunteer there and I’ve had a chance to play the game with the kids and they love it. They are in 1st grade and some are struggling with addition and subtraction so this is great for them. I’ve played the multiplication game also and it’s a lot of as well.

Great to Review Math
I enjoy any game that encourages my students to review math. This game is no exception. The rules are simple and we change them according to the skill of the students I am working with. What I love most is this game focuses on addition and subtraction and how they relate to each other. This is a great way for my students to visually see how numbers interact with each other.I would have given this a five star rating, but I the actual cards are made of cardboard. As I plan on using them with my students, I would have liked these cards to be made with plastic or something more durable.Overall a great game. We enjoyed playing with it a lot.

A great addition to our homeschool classroom
We love this game! It's a great way to be competitive with math facts, but it evens the playing field for those kids who are still are still slow with their fact families. I would recommend this for first grade and up. We started using it midway through the Singapore 1A books. It would make a great gift to a classroom, to set up a fact family math station.

Highly recommend
This game is worth every penny! My 1st grader was having trouble with subtraction up to 20. We have tried workbooks, making up fun games, fact families and nothing seemed to peek his interest until I was recommended this game. I was worried he would fall behind until we played this game the first time and realized it's all sticking because he's easily making subtraction facts. We also let my youngest (3) play with us to help with her numbers. Highly recommend!

Looking for a way to make Facts Family Practice fun? This is it!!
Facts family practice can be boring. Bought this to use in our homeschool to add some variety to facts family practice. It is similar in concept to a scrabble game where the object is to be the first one to use all of your numbers. The game can get long, but to shorten, just decide on a time limit you will play and call the winner the person with the least amount of numbers in their tray at the end of that time limit. My son loves competitive games, and this is a winner and does a good job of fulfilling the purpose I bought it for, to add some fun and variety to facts family practice. I also want to note that this practices facts families 1- 20, so it will have a longer lifespan on the shelf.

A game even my 14 and 16 year old sons will play with their little brother.
We are really enjoying this game. It is exactly what I was looking for, to help reinforce my 9 year old sons speed on addition and subtraction. My 16 and 14 year old sons and even dad doesn’t mind playing this one. It really is enjoyable for the whole family. I plan to buy the multiplication/ division set after I feel he has mastered this skill.

Buen juego
Un buen juego educativo para hacer cálculos mentales y entretenerse en familia o entre hermanos la única pega es que las fichas son de cartón muy fino y no sé cuánto durarán por lo demás el triángulo central es muy duro

Positive Addition!
Colours Sky blue & orange, trendy & inviting. Guide age 6+ though ability is individual. Our set is for home use but this would withstand classroom & group community use. Design is gender & age neutral, ideal for mature students or SEN pupils. 'Fact Family' knowledge & understanding, is part of the national curriculum. "...the group of 4 math facts produced by the relationships between the 3 numbers in a fact triangle....". For example:3 + 4 = 77 - 3 = 44 + 3 = 77 - 4 = 3BOX: quality thick laminated card, long term safe storage. Depth approx 6 cm, Sides 35 cm. Clear plastic insert with centre gap to keep the cards.CENTRE BOARD: strong plastic with laminated decal upper surface & non slip foam patch underneath. Sides approx 25 cm.TRAYS X 4: orange strong plastic triangular prism shape, sloping with lower edge to retain cards. Height approx just over 3 cm, Width at base just over 3.5 cm, Length just over 3.5 cm.tri-FACTa CARDS X 100: laminated, white with orange numbers upper side, logo & colours on reverse. Sides approx 5 cm. We keep ours safe inside a small zip-lock bag.INFORMATION SHEET: Learning resources: English, Spanish, French & Dutch instructions & ideas. Taken from the information sheet..." Object of the game: Be the first player to play all your cards and call out "tri-FACTa!"." SET UP:1.....Arrange the cards face down around the board.2. Each player takes a tray, chooses 6 cards and places the cards in the tray. Hint:...numerical order... might make game play easier.3. Make sure all players understand the relationships between the numbers in a fact triangle in which the two bottom numbers add up to the number at the top ".Basic understanding of number relations, with reverse addition & subtraction is important to enjoy & understand game play. Without a foundation knowledge, this game could prove counter productive. Through playing, number experiences will be reinforced, then increased, so improving confidence & thinking ability. We found this a positive addition to our resource cupboard. Confidence has grown with quicker thinking skills & better understanding of the Fact Families. From the information sheet..." To Start: The player who can make a true fact triangle with three cards goes first. If more than one player....player with the largest sum begins the game.... place new cards on top of existing cards on the board... turn the board to face the next player! "." To play:1. To take a turn, you must play 2 or 3 ...cards to create a true fact triangle...addition and subtraction the numbers in the triangle show both relationships!2.... cannot take a turn, choose 1 card from the pile and add it to your tray... can take a turn now, go ahead! If not, keep the card...play continues.3....incorrect fact triangle, take your cards back...next player's turn.4. WILD CARDS: ... play it as any number up to 20. Say the value of the card...when you play it...value of that card doesn't change.5. To win...first player to play all your cards and call out " tri-FACTa! "NOTE: ...all cards are gone from the centre pile and a winner has not been declared, the player who has the fewest cards in... tray wins ".We started with only lower, single number values, gradually increasing difficulty; this game is easily adapted to the individual. Initially we used counters to match up with the cards. This gave visual reinforcement, increasing physical understanding of written number connections. Written numbers alone can seem surreal, physically handling objects made them real. We also made our own cards, increasing possibilities as skills improved. Superb game for the entire family... which becomes greatly competitive when against the clock to 'beat your best!'.
