Update: Still requested nightly from Mov.- Dec. by my now-7-year-old.I got this last year for my then 3-year-old, construction-obsessed boy and he loves it still, a year later. I put it away after Christmas and pulled it out again after Halloween to read for the season this year. This is actually one of my all-time favorite children’s books. I choose it for our reading time even more often than my son does! So essentially we read it every day and it doesn’t get tiresome at all. It is a fun story that progresses through the building of the site (you do have to suspend believe since they build the whole thing in a day, but hey, it’s fiction), the rhymes are fun and roll off the tongue while at the same time it’s easy to follow the story. The rhymes don’t get in the way at all. The illustrations are charming, and the ending is fun and sweet. This book hits it out of the park for children and the adults who read it to them. It also has a strong “book smell” because of all the ink on the pages, so that’s a bonus! We love “book smell,” lol.

My 3 yr old grandson's favorite series of books!

Got this for my 3 year old son who loves heavy machinery. Added this to our nightly reading during the holiday's and it was a big hit for him. Love the big size of the book and colorful illustrations. The story is very cute and briefly explains what the different machines are used for. The length of the book is great too; not too short where you are constantly flipping pages, but not too long to cause boredom. This was personally one of my favorite Christmas books -- mainly due to the pictures in it haha! Definitely recommend for your little one if he/she loves construction equipment!

This whole Construction site series is great. I have found that a lot of kid books nowadays are sorta disappointing. I miss the old style rhyming books. This author does a great job putting together fun, positive story’s with a great flow! I can’t wait to ready my little one these new books.Thank you to the author.-K
