LUSI MADAM Men's Poplin Outdoors Travel Sports Pockets Vest

I initially ranked this vest with one star due to a problem with the zippers. One zipper was broken and the front vertical zipper was sans pull tab. I kept it anyway as I was headed to the Philippines in a couple of days and did not have time to return it or purchase a new one from a brick and mortar. This vest is well constructed and otherwise perfect for traveling for me. Lots of zippered pockets for passport, billfold, loose bills, T/P, paper towels, hand sanitizer, etc. It is light and not binding poplin.While in the Philippines this company tried to contact me three times by e-mail offering me a replacement and refund. They assured me it was a packaging problem and they would rectify it. I have the new vest now and sure enough it is perfect. I am very happy with the product and fit. This is the first company l ever dealt with that is really sincere about having and making sure you get an excellent product from them.

Thought it would be great for my dad as he likes to carry a great deal of stuff with him when he goes out. It arrived in a timely manner for Father's Day and looked pretty well made. The problem came when we read the care label and it warned against the material getting wet as the colors may run!! For an outdoor garment, I find that ridiculous! I could understand if it was suede driving. cant talk. ill call u back due, but it's neither.

I just reviewed the denim version of this vest and described the problem I had with the zipper. I'm hoping this one won't have the same problem.PROS: This vest is much lighter weight, but will be great during the summer. I love having all the pockets available to carry things. The material is soft, lightweight and feels very cool. You can feel the lightest breeze through this material. It's comfortable out of the package, but I really can't weight to feel this thing after a few washings. It looks great and has adjustments on the lower sides to facilitate a proper fit.CONS; The sewing job on this vest is ok, but not what it should be and is a bit on the sloppy side. Those annoying hanging threads are plentiful around the inside of the pockets and zippers. The zippers. The denim zippers were metal, these are not. I have worn this vest a couple of times and the front zipper is giving me a problem lining up correctly to get it started and is not near as smooth as metal zippers are. I was hoping for a vest that would last years, but I'm not sure this one will as I wear a vest almost daily year round. I'm thinking I'll probably get 2 years out of it unless a zipper fails since that seems to be the weak point of this vest.

The size that I initially ordered was much to small by a significant degree. I would recommend a sizing chart with measurements tied to the various vest sizes.HOWEVER, The company was very responsive to my initial rating and took my measurements and sent a replacement that fits perfectly. Many thanks to Anne, the customer service rep, for her great work in making this a very pleasant experience. It is now exactly as I had hoped it would be.

When received, the edge stitching was not completed in two places so it would have unraveled rapidly. Additionally, the wash instructions noted, "Wash with darker colors only, dye bleeds." (I was afraid the first time I got caught in the rain I would ruin my shirt.) Good design, poor quality control.Since I wrote the above (and returned to vest), The people at Lusi Madam have been in contact with me and expressed their concern about the quality issues. While I can't vouch for the quality of the vest, the people are obviously interested in doing a good job and making customers happy. A desire to do well is critical from my point of view and I would not hesitate to order another item from them.

I love this so much I bought 2 more. I use these on my motorcycle and wear them all year round. I've dropped my wallet off the bike more than once, that can't happen with these deep zippered pockets. It also enables me to carry other stuff like my camera and even a water bottle, there is even a ring to hang my wrist watch on, so it doesn't get caught all the time... My only complaint is that some of the pockets have torn on the corners, but they are getting near constant use. I have a sewing machine and sewed them right up though. I wish I'd had this solution years ago.

This vest must have been designed for really small people. I read online that it ran small so I ordered a 2XL when I normally wear XL. What I got was marked 2XL but it was a large at best. I could not even zip it up! There was no option to get a 3XL or I might have reordered in that size. The color was as advertised. The quality seemed fine. This is a very light vest which would be great for warm weather. There are plenty of pockets, which is what I wear travel vests for. The zipper is on the wrong side for men. This seems to be a common theme for vests made in the orient.

While this is listed as 'men's', the size large is perfect for me, (woman). I am a senior, and I am able to do semi challenging trail walks. I need to carry a cell phone, ID (no cash), car keys, iPod for music, paper towels for bench cleaning, and tissue for sniffles. This vest accommodates all with room to spare. It is lightweight for spring, summer, and fall use. The quality of workmanship, material, and functionality is perfect for my needs. The poplin/polyester fabric mix is good for wear, and washing. Secure pockets, and V-neck that does not conflict with other garments.
