Da Vinci 10 Feet Adjustable Speed Cable Jump Rope with Ball Bearing Handle Mechanism

This is my second one of these now in a couple of years or so. I usually put things through the wringer so it may last longer with someone else (I originally bought this from a different vendor). I tried some lighter speed ropes but they just don't do it for me in regards to the speed and feel I like (this is slower than a traditional speed rope). I do integrate a traditional speed rope in with this one. I also like the weighted handles over empty/light ones. You'll definitely need shoes unless you want to motivate yourself to lift those feet up. I didn't receive weights in the handles for this recent order, fortunately, I had my previous one so I just transferred. I'm going to take a star off for that. Otherwise it would be a 5 star review. I did not attempt to contact the seller yet about this (and I may not as I don't need to) but it would not make my review any higher if they apologized and shipped it. It would only go lower if they didn't respond appropriately.

I own several jumpropes ranging from an RX jumprope down to a cheap plastic handled playground rope. This falls in the middle. The cable is a BEAST! It is thick and will provide a weighted workout if you are doing a workout involving 200 or more repetitions. The handles are a little less refined and lower quality than the Valeo deluxe jumprope handles.The advantage to this rope is that a metal cable will not stretch during revolutions or over time. But this is a minor issue for most of us. The other benefit is that it opens up in a wide arc thanks to the weight and metal cable.Overall, I would get the Valeo deluxe speed rope offered here on Amazon instead.

This jump rope was just barely adequate. The handle padding was small, and the cable was very thin. Overall, I would not buy it again; it feels flimsy--but again, if you want it for mild workouts, it is fine.

It does the trick for basic exercise needs. Lightweight, functional, and long. The only knock on it is that it can tangle a little. Otherwise, it is a good product.

It is a good jump rope. Kind of hard to adjust and a bit heavy compared to other jump ropes. And if you hit yourself it'll hurt pretty bad due to the wire rope.

I bought from seller CHIPSANDGAMES, Fulfilled by Amazon. I would not want to pay $1 for this at dollar store.First of all, be sure to print or bookmark the instructions given for how to adjust the length of the rope because it is not in the package. You will need to adjust the length unless you about 9 feet tall. However, I suggest you save time and money now, just don't buy it - at least from CHIPSANDGAMES.Second, the "rope" looks and feels like a thin silver shiny weightless ribbon encased in thin cheap plastic. It does not uncurl as it should and I can't imagine how it will "flow" when actually in use. Then, when I unscrewed the cheap plastic handle caps to adjust rope length, according to directions I was supposed to find two weights inside. What I found was a hollow handle with a flat thin washer crimped in half around the end of the so-called rope. No weights, no ball bearing mechanism. TOTAL RIPOFF FROM CHIPSANDGAMES. Maybe other sellers have the real thing, because I did see a couple different ads for the same thing, at a dollar or so price difference.

Arrived quickly. Perfect new condition. Very good quality and adjustable length for any height. Very nice cushion grip handles. Cables will hopefully last a few years. This is good addition to my workouts.
