MR Direct 903-FL Copper Undermount 33 in. Single Bowl Kitchen Sink Flange

I was in search of an oil rubbed bronze sink. Wasnt able to find one. I stumbled across this copper sink here on Amazon, so I ordered it.When I rcvd this copper sink, it looked like a giraffe, and was not what I was anticipating. It didnt look like the photos on Amazon.The "dented" areas were dark, while the non dented areas were just raw copper, so very high contrast. In addition, it had absolutely no protective coating on it. (photo #1)It took several days to receive this sink. Plus, I was in the middle of the remodel, and I didnt have time to research and order another sink, so I decided to keep this one, and take a gamble that I was going to be able to later fix it somehow. I cut the openings in the plywood for the countertops (at which point I was "committed" to using this sink), set the sink aside, and proceeded to fabricate the epoxy countertops, which took a couple weeks.In the meantime, during the evenings, I got on youtube and looked at quite a few videos on how to possibly coat this sink. I ordered a couple of products from Sculpt Noveau, 1 to "colorize" the metal, and another to clear coat it.I used a rattle can stripper to get the factory patina off, at which point the sink actually looked a Lot better than before. I was tempted to simply clear coat it, although it wouldnt have fit in with our color scheme. (photo #2)So I attempted to use the colorizing product from Sculpt Noveau. Even after 3 coats, it still looked Horrible, even worse than when I rcvd it. (photo #3)So I stripped it Again. At this point we needed to get the sink installed so that the countertops could be installed on top of it, so I was out of time. I ran to Home Depot, picked up a rattle can of Rubbed Oil Bronze spray paint, and painted the sink. It looked great. I then used the rattle can 2 part epoxy urethane in a satin finish (also from Sculpt Noveau) and clear coated it. (see last photos)After a lot of trials and tribulations, the sink finally turned out fabulous, although it cost me several hours of my time, and about $120 in additional products expense to get it to its final finish.Note: I also include a photo of some copper bathroom sinks, which we also purchased from Amazon, and which were perfect right out of the box.Im giving this sink 2 stars because, while it does have a good build quality, the final finish (or lack of it) from the factory left a lot to be desired.

This is an amazing sink.. Solid heavy construction, beautiful finish. It's a nice big single basin sink.. Don't think i could ever go back to having a two sided sink.. it so nice I can put large skillets, baking dishes almost anything will fit.. I had it installed unmounted to a gold colored granite and the color combination looks so nice. Definitely on of the highlights of my kitchen.

Love this sink. Very large and deep. Can soak large pans with ease. Does get green patina, can be cleaned off if you prefer.

My counter was all set to be installed, but this sink held up the process. Unfortunately, it came with a big dent in the side, so we had to send it back.

I love my sink. I ordered it back in May. Had contractor problems & health problems. So just got the sink installed a couple of weeks ago. I am known to have my champagne taste on beer, no, water budget. Feel like I got a good deal. So am really happy with the sink. Many Blessings to you as you grow your business.
