This one works! I am getting arthritis in my fingers so I have been looking for a champagne opener for awhile. The reason it did not get five stars is the teeth or cork gripper slips sometimes. But the important thing is, I can! I have bought and sent back several.

I bought this champagne opener as a gift for my 89 year old mother as she and her friends love to drink champagne. As we age(myself included) it's hard to POP the cork without as much strength in your hands. This device makes it easy to open the bottle. It clamps around the cork and with a turn of your wrist the cork pops off easily. I originally found mine at Williams Sonoma for $12(not available to ship) and I believe I paid around $24 on Amazon Prime but it was worth it. Quick, easy and my Mom and her friends are loving it!!!

We love our Champagne opener and gift it to others whenever we can. Works every time!

I purchased this item as a gift for a female friends who was unable to open sparkling wine bottles. She called me shortly afterwards to thank me for the gift. She said she no longer needs to wait for husband to get home to open a bottle. Her husband jokingly told me he wasn't sure that was a good thing.

It is quite heavy, but works very well.

Five Stars. Excellent quality. Removes corks from Champagne bottles that appear to be epoxied in the bottle. Those of you that drink Champagne know what I mean. No more getting the pliers from my tool box. Will even take it to BYOB restaurants to be sure I can remove the cork. No I do not work for the seller nor am I related to them.

I was feeling like such a wimp when I couldn’t open my bottles of bubbly! This makes it so easy. What a great product!
