Duck Covers Elite Patio Umbrella Cover with Installation Pole, Fits 8.5' to 11' Umbrellas, 76-Inch

We have a new 10' market umbrella from Costco. For those of you who don't want bats inside your umbrella, I can verify that this cover IS long enough with our particular umbrella, that it can be tied tightly at the bottom (just use the bottom draw string and wrap it around a few times) to prevent bat intrusion. My only wish is that the manufacturer would consider this in their design, and make the string easier to utilize for that particular purpose (cinching the bottom tightly). Yes, bats are very useful and important creatures. No, I don't wish them any harm. But, we don't want them in our patio umbrella either.

The material is not as heavy as Veranda by Classic Accessories (which I love) but looks durable enough for Albuquerque Winters (snow, but not much - cold, but not frigid). My reason for not buying the Veranda brand is that their umbrella covers have a zipper that only goes halfway up, making it very difficult to put on without standing on the table or a ladder and reaching way over. This Duck Cover has a much longer zipper and comes with a very sturdy 2-piece plastic pole, the combination of which makes putting it on the umbrella a snap. I received mine today and from unboxing to installation it literally took maybe two minutes. It completely covers my 9-foot umbrella.

This is well-made but you need to be 6'4'' to use it effectively. The most frustrating cover I've ever had.The two-piece rod was hard to control within the fabric of the cover and not long enough to force the cover off the top of the umbrella. Ended up leaving marks all over the decorative ball on top of the umbrella from attempts to get the cover off. Hard to describe how convoluted the process was. Gave up and bought the type with the metal rod in the seam of the cover. The on and off is a breeze with the new one.

These covers are very well made and the color is a nice tan. One of my umbrellas is shorter than the cover so cut it off and blocked off the zipper at the bottom so it won't slip off. Works great. One disappointment is the pole to assist putting the cover over the umbrella is long and the sleeve that it goes in is short so one must store the pole somewhere else or take it apart every time you put the umbrella on and off and put it back into the sleeve. Not really a problem but would be nice if the sleeve was as long as the pole.

Got this yesterday and put it right on to the umbrella ... absolutely the easiest cover I have ever put on the umbrella.I was able within about 20 seconds unfold the fabric assemble the pvc pipe for reaching, drop the cover over the top, disassembel the pvc pipe and insert into the built in holder, and zip down to secure the cover.Well worth the extra couple of bucks.PS I have on a 10' umbrella ... with room to spare.Would work even on an 11' unit.

I bought this a few years ago and its still in good shape. i do bring it in in the winter. My friends seen me take it off and put it on and bought ones for themselves!!

Best made umbrella cover that I’ve ever owned. Great material for waterproofing and preserving my umbrella. It keeps things dry and the mud dauber wasps and other pests from getting inside my umbrella. Super easy to take off and put back on with the included rods. Makes things a breeze to the point I actually use this cover. Love it.

This is fabulous! I have three of these umbrella covers. As a short person (5'2"---okay, I've lost 2"--5' now) I really appreciate the wand that is included that makes taking off and putting on the cover so much easier and safer! No more standing on chairs over glass table tops wrestling with umbrella covers! I've only used them through one season, so I can't comment on longevity yet, but they look substantial and the fabric appears to be of such a material that this will last through several seasons. My only suggestion: Make them in different colors, please! Then I'll buy some more!
