French Horn Mute black

My son needed this mute for a performance. It muffles almost too well for performances but it's great for practice. My son was happy with it!

I am a horn teacher and I love that this little practice mute is so affordable (and small). I don't want my students to have to spend very much on a practice mute but sometimes they need one (to work on playing louder without everyone hearing them) or because they don't want someone to hear them practicing. I also like how small and easy it is to throw in my backpack or horn case and take along with me. There are better mutes that are way more expensive, but for the price, this mute is great!

First, be aware that this is a PRACTICE mute and not designed or intended as a performance mute. It’s great for embouchure warmup, especially when/where you need to keep it quiet.The pitch does go sharp a bit, but if you’re aware, this shouldn’t be a problem.It’s not as good as my older— and lost— Denis Wick practice mute, but the Wick is a lot more money now.

i use this practice mute when i travel or when it's a bit late for me to be practicing. i'd definitely recommend this if you want a mute quiet enough to play in a hotel room!

This French horn mute is a great inexpensive mute that really works! I highly recommend this for travel as it enhances practice time while staying at a hotel/with family/with friends. No one is bothered by the sound of your French horn playing with this mute because it is so quiet while you play using it! I wish I could attach an audio file of me playing my French horn with it and then without it. The sound barrier it creates is amazing. I highly recommend this mute and it is well worth the money spent. P.S. it doesn’t completely mute the sound I should add, you can hear yourself play, but if you shut the door to a room you cannot hear past that room because the sound absorption is so good with this mute.

i tried this with my Flugehorn, it reduce de sound but lows a tone , it should have a way to regulate it

This mute deadens the sound so much that I am able to practice in my room and you cannot hear it outside my door. It does add a bit of resistance to the instrument but less than I was expecting. This also means that when you take it off playing feels a bit easier. It also fits in the bell of my French Horn and trombone very well, never falls out. I use it everyday and am very satisfied.

Es ligera y funciona bien, si tiene algo de resistencia pero por el precio es muy buena
