NO SPOILERSBrandilyn Collins is an amazing author, once you start on one of her books, you will have difficulty putting it down. I suggest starting at book one of this series, but you do not have to, as this is a stand alone book. Starting at book one will give you a background on some of the characters.Collins style of writing will keep you engaged and wishing that the book was longer, just so you could read more. There is no foul language or explicit scenes in this series of books, even though they are thrillers. Collins is able to write the scenes in a way where she captures even little details of the story that add so much to the plot.

Will miss my beloved Kanner Lake family
The final book in the series didn't disappoint. And yes it was a roller coaster ride. 5 stars for gripping suspense and drawing me in to the lives of the Kanner Lake crew once more. I felt every emotion they did. That's the sign of a gifted author. I had to intentionally put the book down to make it last, knowing I would be sad to finish it. One night it took the Kindle running out of battery to force my hand. So glad I awoke to a few more chapters. As a believer I loved seeing this reflection of God's grace as it happens in real life. For those who like a clean read full of life's reality but without gratuitous content this one will satisfy. Would be thrilled if Ms. Collins is inspired to bring them back for one more adventure.

Powerful conclusion
Wow....where do I start? Wow! Great book! When you finish a four part series and the characters have become so alive, it's sad to see it end. Simply put, Amber Morn is an incredible conclusion to the Kanner Lake series. The Java-Joint gang have all come to celebrate the signing of S-Man's contract. It's a beautiful morning, spirits are high, and everyone is bursting with happiness. Never in there wildest nightmares, could they imagine that in a few short minutes, three men would enter, shoot one man, and hold 12 others hostage. While the first three books are mystery/suspense, Amber Morn is an all out thriller. The characters we've grown quite fond of are put in a situation where their love and friendship is clearly visible. Each one willing to do whatever it takes to protect the others. Each one relying on God and those around them to make it till their ordeal is over. It's an amazing story of friendship and coming together in times of crisis. It's also an excellent glimpse at the flip side. A hardened family outside of God's love with two uncontrollable adult children. A mother unable to feel beyond her own pain to grasp what her family is doing. A family that sees injustice rather than their own flaws. A family that's willing to kill thirteen people just to see their convicted son freed from jail. An amazing contrast between misguided love and true devoted love. The end of Amber Morn is a nice conclusion to this series. It was truly one of the best four part series I've read in a while. I found myself totally involved in these character's lives and loving every minute of it. Excellent, excellent series.

Slam Dunk!
This was a riveting conclusion to a thrilling series. All the characters from the other books were at the Java Joint, when the unthinkable happened, no spoilers. The bulk of the book took place in a period of about five hours. So like she said...buckle yourself in!

A suspense-filled finale to Ms. Collins' Kanner Lake Series!
Brandilyn Collins' "Amber Morn," is yet another of her "fasten your seatbelts" thrillers--a fitting finale to her suspenseful Kanner Lake Series. My previous review summarized "Crimson Eve," the third book in the series, as a great book... terrific suspense, an underlying tribute to faith, and well-crafted characters, about whom a reader cares (or, in some cases, hates!). These accolades apply equally to "Amber Morn." A Five-Star recommendation to all mystery fans!--Ron Howe (a.k.a., Toby Martin II) Erskine, Minnesota.

Great Ending to a series!
I hate to see this series come to an end. But, I guess it has to sometime. Only so much can go wrong in one little town. I was a little apprehensive about this book, I thought it was going to be a little boring since it was only about one incident. But, I found it to be a page turner. I would highly recommend it if you have read the others in this series.
