Delicious and great for price
The darjeeling tea is delicious and the price is great. The flavor is super light and floral, with that usual darjeeling freshness. While it’s not as refined as more expensive darjeelings, a little over $30 for a whole pound is a great deal and I’m willing to deal with slight bitterness in a cup for that price. My usual favorites are from Spirit Tea, but for the same weight of tea, I’d be paying 3x as much or more. This is a great option if you drink multiple cups every day.

Good tea
My normal source for loose leaf English breakfast tea stopped carrying it. I buy it by the pound and was looking for a new source. Stumbled across this product and took a chance. Was impressed by the quality and now i have signed up for recurring shipments. For reference I use the tea to make ice tea

Value for dollar.
Amazing tea. I do 4 tablespoons for a whole gallon of iced tea. The quality and amount your get for 32 bucks is great. I will buy again as long as the price does not go to high.

Very Satisfying! A rich and robust Tippy Assam.
I often buy herbs from Frontier coop, but this was my first time buying tea from them. I have to admit I figured it would be decent at best bulk tea, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a good quality, strong, and flavourful Tippy Assam that makes for a very satisfying pot of tea.The dry leaves were obviously fresh and consisted of mostly medium leaf with some longer ones and more broken leaves mixed in. You can also see the golden tips in the dry leaf. When brewed the tea has what I consider the classic Assam scent: malt, molasses, and floral high notes. On the palate the tea is rich and robust, malty but also with the distinct fruitiness of a nice tippy Assam. It has just about the optimal amount of astringency for that “bite” that I think is crucial to a good Assam. Personally I don’t like Assams that are overly gentle and fail to make you take notice. This tea isn’t too bitter or anything, even with longer steeps, but it is an assertive tea.I think it needs a longer steep time to really bring out its full depth and flavour. If drinking it straight I recommend at least 5 minutes if not a bit more. If using milk you can go even longer. I really like it steeped 10-12 minutes in the pot when adding milk. It takes milk very well and is also great with both milk and sugar. I’d say it makes an outstanding breakfast brew. It also makes very good cold brew ice tea.Overall, I was very impressed by this Assam. It compares favourably to Ahmad’s Kalami Assam, a staple of mine, and to all the other loose leaf Assams I’ve tried from Amazon. I’ve noticed some reviews say quality consistency is an issue with frontier teas. I can’t speak to that yet and may have more to say when I reorder, but for now this is one of the best Assams I’ve seen on Amazon.

Bought to Make Milk Tea
I’ve gotten into making milk tea lately and wanted to buy black tea in bulk to make life easier. The price is really good and I can respect the fair trade stamp, but the flavor is a bit lighter than expected. I’ve made the same milk tea recipe with different Ceylon leaves and the flavor came through the milk beautifully; however, this batch I made with these Ceylon tea leaves was much weaker on the tea flavor. I can feel the caffeine running through my veins so I don’t really want to increase the tea amount in my recipe. I might try brewing the tea longer next time to see if that helps. I’m sure this tastes okay as hot tea. I haven’t noticed any astringency or bitterness. It might just not be suited for milk tea though. Perhaps I’ll use it for iced tea instead.

The best tea that I’ve tried in United States
I’m from Chile, we drink a lot of tea over there; since I live in the states I was searching for a strong and good loose leaf black tea and never find it, I’ve tried many brands from Chinese and India and other countries that I can find in the stores around and other cities when I visit, and this is the first one that finally I can say “I got it!!!” This is the best tea I ever try here. Definitely recommended for those who are lovers of a good tea, great and defined flavor, and organic and fair trade too. This became already my favorite here.

Not 100% Certified Organic
Irish Breakfast: the tea is OK, but I was concerned about the text on the label, which says it's mixed with non-certified Organic tea. Because I've worked in the organic business for forty years, I called to clarify this statement, and was told basically, trust us, it's mostly certified. For me, that means their Certified Organic label is misleading. I have no reason to believe a product is organic if there's no verification process.
