Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Prepare To Be Shocked (5) (ANNUAL)

I love Ripkey's books and own at least 10 of them. I have no problem with oddities or even gross stuff to a degree, but this book is brutal. I was shocked by zoomed in full color photos of a man's severed arm in an alligator's mouth with the victim on the same page as well as a display of grotesquely flattened dead dogs in a Chinese butcher store. These are just a couple things I happened to see while leafing through the book. I'm sure there are more...So glad I didn't just hand it to my seven year old before checking it!

I bought this book for my 10 year old nephew for Christmas. Not only did he love it, but so did his younger sister, his cousins, his parents, and several other family members. This is a must-have item for any family. Each time you look through the book you find different, interesting facts. There is definitley a little something for everyone. Warning: This is not for the boring, unimaginative or weak-stomached individuals.

Bought one Ripley's book for the kid and she loved it, not setting it aside until she was done. After another re-read, she asked for more, so we bought this with the same results. I know what to get her now for those little rewards for good grades or meeting goals.

This was a Christmas gift for my 12 year old nephew and once he started reading it, he did not put it down for hours. It was well worth the money spent.

This is a great book for kids. Big book, big pages, big pics. My two daughters love it.

If you like bizarre, this is for you, its full of unusual factoids, strange pictures, sometimes unsettling details, and occasional humour.

A bit to big.Always read the porpotion wich I didnt do.But the colors are great.
