Look and feel great.
I bought these strings for my purple sunburst bass. 5 strings, obviously. The coating gives a smoother slide, and they haven't worn away at all so far. I only use my fingers, so I can't comment on how a pick would affect them. They are brighter than the Dunlop strings I had before, so I had to change the settings on my combo and my bass to get the right sound for my band. Overall, yes I would recommend these if you're looking for some aesthetic appeal and something to make your bass stand out, which is exactly why I purchased them.

My favorite
Absolutely love these. I play with a pick. If you play fingerstyle you might not like these. They can be sticky out of the box. An hour in the sun should cure that but even then they will take getting used to. Once you get used to them they are awesome. Geezer Butler uses the black ones. According to DR all of their colored coated strings are the exact same. If they're good enough for Geezer Butler. They're good enough for me

Similarly priced, and just about worth it.
For the money I spent, they look amazing and sound almost as good. Considering I can walk into a local store and pay about as much might make me want to do that instead of waiting for them to be shipped, I'd still recommend them to anyone wanting a little more form than function for their instrument.

Good
If you’re going for the look they sound good enough. A little more treble than regular roundwounds but not too bad. I like them better whne they wear down a little. They dont crack or rust as bad as other strings ive used

DEAD on Arrival
I start by saying I LIKE DR Strings and have used them on my basses for years. I first got to them by just wanting to try some colors for some special shows. I liked them so much that I changed to DR Strings on all my basses. I even got my brother on to them and then he made the switch. This was around 2010. Around 2014 or so my brother complained of the quality and said they were going dead on him really fast. By the end of 2016 I was experiencing the same thing along with short strings in my package where it tapered off before the nut so it sat on the frets and dead strings upon arrival. Enough so to where I eventually went back to my old strings. Fast forward to now. Worked a special event called the PINK ICE BALL so I decided to try a set of the Neon Pink on my white Lakand DJ5 for the look. The looked great but seemed a little dull to me.Picked up a different bass I restrung over a month a go. NIGHT and DAY difference. The set is dead on arrival. I could make a big deal and push for a refund and all of that but the point of it is that I have just lost faith in the ability of the company to "currently" provide a quality product in the color bass sting market . I have no sponsorship I'm just a normal working guy so at 35- 40 $ a set I just have to be more careful of where I spend my hard earned money.
