Bosch MS1233 Crown Stop Kit for Bosch Miter Saws, Includes Mounting Knobs and Hardware

This MS 1233 Crown Stop Kit worked great on my Bosch GCM12SD dual bevel hinge slide miter saw. It worked great, once installed. There were no directions. Now of course, I shouldn't need any. Right? There were two complications. Once you know, it's easy. 1. Extra parts. To install on one of the listed Bosch saws, you use one screw knob and one of the stops. They install easily on the end of the sliding extension. It was obvious to me which end was which. The complication was the extra two screws and the adapter. You don't need those on these Bosch saws. Those are for adapting to other saws. You should have leftover parts if installing on a Bosch saw. 2. I had also ordered two MS1234 miter saw length stops. That's the red tab in the first and second pics. Each Stop came with a screw knob. No directions. Pics show both items installed on the left side of the miter saw. First pic shows the red length stop stowed in the down position, hanging from the rear screw knob, with the crown stop ready to use. Second pic shows the red stop flipped up for use. They work great once installed. They stow very nicely right on the saw. When you need them they are right there. There really should be directions so you know about the extra parts.

Your comments are important and we would like to be sure your satisfaction with this product is to your expectations. If you have the Bosch CM10GD glide miter saw we have created a bracket that will allow it to work" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That bracket (2 actually) makes it work on just about any miter saw that the side of the platform base is around 90* to the face. (Look at the picture) (With a local purchase of a few #10 pan head screws, washers and nylocs. Drill 3 holes; 2 for the #10's and 1 for the lockdown knob clearance. I drilled out the bracket to accommodate #10 holes in the actual bracket also) I will write a full review on "how to" when I have the time... Pretty easy if you could see a pic of the "cast bracket" which is not shown in the picture or parts list. It is basically a 3" long cast metal plate that goes behind the crown stop adjustment arm and acts like a slider guide. Use your common sense engineering and it will work. Beats the heck out of paying $62.00 total for the L&R Hitachi stops and is way more stable.

I have only used this item 4 or 5 times since we purchased it, but it seems to work just fine...even on 4 inch molding! Its adjustable and easy to tuck away by unloosening the knob and flipping it over...clever and quick design!

My wife wanted crown molding in the house we just purchased and although I could make a compound Miter on my 12 inch bosch axial glide, I am always looking for things to make it easier. this jig to keep your crown in the upright position to make your miter cuts works and I like that it is quick and easy to adjust and when you are not using it you can just move it out of the way and continue making cuts on dimensional lumber. it comes with adapters if your saw has the flat edges on the table with my axial glide I have the groove for the crown stop kit to sit on, so this was not need but it is nice they send this, so that way my dad can put the stop on his Makita as well.

I bought this when it had the offer to pay it monthly and that saved me from putting down a good chunk of change right off the bat. It's very heavy but built like a tank. The fences are pretty accurate and everything was lined up and square right out of the box. It may not have the shadow cut line on it but I don't mind it at all. The gliding feature makes this saw so much better and more versatile, not that the traditional sliders are bad it's just that this gives you better options when you're limited on space. I noticed that with a Diablo 44 tooth blade, it is a very quiet saw compared to other noisy units.

I purchased these to attach to a Hercules 12" saw I bought from Harbor Freight.. I drilled 2 holes in each side and attached. They work great. Very Sturdy. I would recommend these to everyone. Your unit does not have to be a Bosch. These will work on any unit. Just make sure there is nothing on the underside of the saw to prevent drilling 2 holes and inserting small bolts and nuts to secure.. I very happy with my purchase.

I like the look, the operation, the options and the noverall feel. Proffessional device. I'm a proud owner.

Works perfectly for what it was designed

Der Crown Stop passt auf meine Bosch GCM 8 SJL. Dieses Zubehör ist praktisch und schnell eingestellt. Die Verarbeitung ist gut. Verpackt ist es in einem unscheinbaren Karton. Falsch anbauen kann man es nicht, da es nur in eine Richtung drauf passt. Eine Anleitung auf englisch liegt bei. Ich kann den Crown Stop jedem empfehlen, der viel mit einer Zug-, Kapp- und Gehrungssäge von Bosch arbeitet. Das dieses Tool nur im Ausland vertrieben wird, ist für ein deutsches Unternehmen ein Armutszeugnis. Das tut dem Crown Stop aber keinen Abriss, da das Tool echt klasse ist!

It’s good stuff. It came with some mysterious parts that i don’t know what they are for. But other than that, it’s great. It’s working no problem.
