Good quality cable
Used this cable to connect my 2010 iMac (Mini Displayport) to my 2019 iMac (USB-C / thunderbolt 3) to give me a dual 27" screen setup.So far it is working well and the cable seems good quality for the money.

I am using this on my Mac right now, works a treat
My new Mac Mini and MacBook Pro have ditched DisplayPort in favour of USB-C (there is HDMI2.0 but I have a PC attached to that input) The cable appears robust and worked immediately on the Mac with 4k60 4:4:4 I haven't had any problems with the display being detected and the display switches on immediately the Mac comes out of sleep.

Perfect Mac-to-Mac solution
This cable was used to connect a 2017 27" iMac (with Thunderbolt 3/USB-C port) to a 2010 27" iMac (with Mini DisplayPort) in order to use the older machine as an external display in extended desktop mode. All I had to do was boot both machines, plug in the cable, then hit Command-F2 on the older Mac… and that was it: doubled my available workspace. Super easy.

Perfect for using 2009 iMac as second monitor
Worked perfectly. Got an old 2009 27” iMac used this cable to connect a dell laptop to it and it worked perfectly.

Warning
Be careful not to mistake this for a thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 because it is not and I kinda wasted my money. Good product for what it is though

Did not work
Tried connecting a Dell Latitude 5480 laptop to my Mid 2010 iMac running MacOS 10.11.6 and nothing happens when I press Command + F2 on the iMac. I know the Dell is outputting a signal because I have the laptop connected to a monitor at work with a USB-C connector which has a resolution of 3840 x 1600 at 60 Hz and that works OK. Will be returning it.

Lot Cheaper than Apple
Nice cable, 2 metres long and appears well made. Would buy again.
