Back Jack Floor Chair (Original BackJack Chairs) - Standard Size

The chair quality is rickety. A glamorized folding lawn chair perhaps. If not expecting more than this then it is fine. Since this purchase I found another floor chair I'm completely satisfied with. I only wanted a minimal legless back rest/support and the other chair functions for that perfectly.-I'm 5'5" & weigh 130lbs-I got the regular sized Back Jackto be used for meditation & occasional lounging on the floor-the metal tubing hits my back at the sides and shoulders and makes it very uncomfortable-it isn't sturdy and isn't very easy to fold either, not so convenientThe description simply overstates it's construction very much. Communication with the seller has been completely a waste of time. I was told that I should never have thought it would be a massive chair. I was told that any problem was mine and they want to charge me double shipping plus restocking fees and also simply have cancelled my request for return altogether, blaming it on my lack of response though I have communicated on four different occassions, each time receiving argument, difraction and denial of any service. They also tagged all email dialogue with me as requiring their 'special sauce' using what appears to be some in-house labelling system which I found offensive and bizarre. They seem to have no motivation at all to be fair or even civil. The chair is disappointing at best.

I ordered 2 of these chairs. When I started to assemble them, I thought they seemed rather flimsy but kept going. The first went together fine. The second one had one frame that was too big for the material. When I compared the two pieces that need to be joined, they clearly were not the same size. Since I was concerned about the sturdiness, I decided to return them. I processed the request and discovered that the return would be at my expense. I expressed disappointment at this and received a call from the seller offering to replace the defective part. I appreciated the offer but I was not happy with the products quality. Someone easily intimidated might have been uncomfortable with the call. I ordered a similar product from Plow and Hearth that is adjustable, strong and padded on the seat and back. The difference in price was only a few dollars. Well worth the money. I can't think of any reason to recommend this product.

I have used a lot of backjack chairs that a teacher of mine has had for years and years and LOVE them, it took me a while to buy due to price but I really wanted one. However it's not the quality of the past ones. It's smaller and quite flemsy. I still like it but I'm fairly upset about the price when I'm not thinking it will hold up. It's going back.

This is exactly the BackJack product i was looking for. It's easy to put together and lightweight. I use it for meditation and also love using it on my front steps or reading outside.It has good padding for sitting on hard floors for long periods of time (i.e. seminars, concerts, etc) and puts you at a slight recline rather than sitting straight up. Great product.

The chair is great. I will be buying 3 more once the stock is available.I would like to see one improvement:The assembly procedure is actually very easy but the assembly instruction that comes along with the product is confusing.I would like to have this option available:The dimension of this floor chair is 10 inches by 15 inches.In this dimension, the ankles of both feet are on the floor and not on the cushion. Hence to sit comfortably for a longer period of time, we want the ankles to rest on the mat, hence the dimensions are to be increased (18 inches?)

Well, I do like the floor chairs. However I thought I was ordering the folding version, but that's okay. I wonder if there is a way to upgrade my non-folding version to a folding version by buying the appropriate part?I watched the online video to learn how to assemble the chairs since the instruction sheet really was not much help. It should include an illustration of the chair in and cover in a position that demonstrates how it actually goes onto the frame.I sat in the finished chair and it seems comfortable enough. I'll see how I do after a long meditation.

Received quickly and it's a nice true red, however, not for me and returning. I thought this was adjustable and easy to fold down to travel, It is not, you have to remove the cover to take it apart and then would have to set it up again and put the cover on. The set up is not too difficult, but the cloth cover is very tight to get over the frame and could rip in time because it is fits tightly against the frame. I'm petite, small frame and 113 pounds and do not mind the flimsy foam seat, but most others would be uncomfortable on this after sitting for 30 minutes. With my weight, it got pretty flat in no time. I do not think this is made from the same company that made the true BackJack chairs. If it is, then they will lose a lot of customers who are truly on a spiritual path and knows what this product should be.

I had purchased the Back Jack chair based on having used one at a meditation retreat. I found the chair to be very comfortable, and was excited to order one for my home. When it arrived it was clear, however, that it was NOT the same chair or quality. The Back Jack chair that arrived from Amazon was flimsy, kept coming apart, and worst of all, the metal bar kept digging mercilessly into my back. I sat in it for a total of five minutes before I disassembled, repackaged and shipped it back to Amazon. Thank goodness for Prime! Don't bother ordering this chair. I just saved you a valuable hour of your life.
