RPC-2212 - nice but incomplete
The RPC-2212 is a well manufactured unit, although no parts-list, diagrams, or instructions were provided with the unit. You must theorize, postulate, and guess as to the functions of the various connection points, redundant connectors, and also intuit the needed SAS cables, fan specs, etc. I would have given a five star rating except for the above AND the fact that, using the associated RL-26 rails, the unit will not mount in my two-rail Chatsworth rack. There are no adjustable brackets for the RL-26 (or RL-20) rail kit that can be used on a 19" two-rail rack. The RL-26 and RL-20 are designed for a four-rail rack or enclosure and these are the recommended brackets available for this case. Additionally, the RL-26 included brackets use screws and taps that do not match the pitch and diameter of those needed in a my standard 19" racks. Until I can acquire appropriate adjustable brackets, I cannot position the case in the rack array for which it was specifically purchased. Cases and mounting rails provided by other manufacturers did in fact provide adjustable brackets to allow mounting in my existing racks. These other items were purchased in over last five year time-span. I am now in a mad hunt to find or fabricate appropriate mounting brackets. A significant waste of time and energy.

Good NAS case with minor complaints
This is our new NAS chassis. As our first Norco product, it appears to be well built. Despite its size, it is not as heavy as it looks. I had no major issues installing the mobo, ps, etc... And the included screw sets are labeled, which makes installation a breeze. The 4x 80mm fans pushes decent amount of air w/o incurring too much noise. Also, the 12x 3.5" HDD caddy also have mounting holes for 2.5" HDD mounting. Nice. Now the cons:1. There is no instruction sheets included to explain the odd shaped small metal pieces included. They are either meant for mobo or rack install, but I have no clue;2. It is missing a few standoff screw hole for microATX mobo on the outermost left side. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to have them;3. The NIC1 and NIC2 indicator wires appears to be swapped;4. To properly mount it, the Norco RL-26 rail kit is needed. As the chassis side has a protruding clip that mates with the side rail perfectly. The cons are minor. Overall, pretty happy with it so far.
