Nice cute book
Engaging and lovely illustrations. Part of a series on the solar system. Our 3-year old enjoyed it although mainly the illustrations. A book he can grow into.

Funny and informative non-fiction picture book
My kids (5 and 9) and I love, love, love this series! Earth was fantastic and Sun did not disappoint. These stories are narrated by their main character. So, Sun writes about itself (and does a fantastic job, I might add). Readers learn about Sun's classification in the Milky Way, its nearest neighbor stars, how hot and how far away it is from things all within a first person narrative that grabs kids' attentions. Stevie Levis' artwork is bold and bright and inspired. Perfect for a story that takes place in outer space and on earth's surface (when discussing how Sun helps earthlings). This is one of those series that you'll want the entire collection. We can't wait for the upcoming titles.

Great book!
This is the second book in a series - the first is about the earth. They are endearing, fun to read to the kids (ages 2 and 6) and a nice way to introduce the solar system. The illustrations are well done. Lucky for me since I usually read it 4-5 times at a go - my 2 yr old is at the repeat the book ad nauseum stage. I highly recommend it!

Cute intro to the sun
My daughter and I loved the earth book so much that I immediately ordered this one as a follow up. It is cute, and a well done book. Just not quite as inherently engaging/interesting as the earth story. (How do you compete with Planet Awesome?)

I absolutely love this book, the absolute best part is the incredible illustration. When I read it to my class they all felt inspired to become illustrators themselves!
