OCZ VTR150-25SAT3-480G 480GB 2.5 inch Vector 150 SATA 3.0 Internal Solid State Drive

My only regret is seeing the PCI version after my purchase, but that'll wait for another day/year as I'm more than impressed with this devices performance. Desktop boot time to being usable went from 2 minutes to 25 seconds.Product well packaged and delivered within specified time.

This SSD gave a very noticable speed up from my previous HDD in my laptop. It also has enough space that it doesn't feel like it will fill up too fast. However, my Corsair Sandforce GS SSD is faster.

I bought this drive 3 years ago, and for the past 6 months, I have been getting support from Toshiba, I have had multiple high power loss rate alerts. Support made me change the port the drive was on and flash the bios. These are not simple tasks and shouldnt be performed if you dont know what you are doing but I do and I did with success.Unfortunately it did not resolve the issues with the alerts and now as far as Toshiba Support is concerned after 6 month, and I quote 'Unfortunately we won’t be able to advise further on this case'.I dont know if these drives will just die one day before their time so I have had to buy new HDD to insure data backups.Now to be clear I did ask Toshiba to release the support ticket to pub;ic domain so as I could link to it but no joy, so I am saying buyer beware but not on the seller, incase you need support they are the worst I have came across in many years.

Yep its fast. great build quality. this is the second OCZ SSD I've purchased and can't fault the drive at all. Easy to install, silent, no heat, fast read write times and good value for money.It's a rather good purchase.

Per ora ,dopo pochi giorni,non posso dirne che bene .E' il piu' veloce nella sua categoria che io abbia mai provato.L'ho acquistato contro il parere di molti tecnici che lamentavano la inaffidabilita' degli hd Toshiba,di cui OCZ fa parte.Ma le recensioni di numerose riviste americane mi hanno convinto all'acquisto.Quanto alla sua longevita' non posso esprimere pareri,ma mi confortano i 5 anni di garanzia.Sto comunque molto attento a limitarne il riempimento.O:S: e pochi programmi e credo di averlo ottimizzato al meglio.

In risposta all'utente che chiedeva un test in configurazione a disco singolo pubblico i miei risultati.Premetto che come vedete il disco è quasi pieno (ed il fatto che i risultati siano comunque ottimi è un buon segno) e che è montato su una scheda madre Sata II che lo limita ad un massimo di 300mb teorici. Per ora dopo un anno di utilizzo non ha dato nessun problema e anche se è limitato dal Sata II i benefici si sentono lo stesso nella maggior parte degli utilizzi.

I wanted a reliable HD for my DELL PRECISION M4800 Workstation Laptop and decided to get myself a OCZ Vector 480GB. After 5 month the OCZ HD just died. It was not recognized by the BIOS anymore. The 5 year warranty sounded good when I purchased the HD, it was a quality argument for me. Thanks god I am prepared for disasters and could replace the OCZ HD with a backup Western Digital HD. Still, I spent more or less one day to install software on the replacement HD. The second HD installed on the PC at the same time as the OCZ, a Crucial M550 512GB mSATA Internal Solid State Drive CT512M550SSD3 still works fine and I have to mention that the Crucial does most of the tasks.Reading more reviews about the OCZ, it seems quite common that this product is not as good as advertised.I make a living with the computers I use (Automation and Control Systems) and I definitely will not use this product as indented (reliable HD).Very disappointed, failed after 5 month
