Without being detected, I'm able to spot wild animals at night with this lamp. Skunks, racoons, opossums, jack rabbits, armadillos and most importantly feral hogs can't see red light very well, if at all. Also, does not wash out my natural night vision. Would consider buying another.

Works great for my purposes. I would not purchase anything again in the $10 green headlamp category. This light is just worlds better than the cheaper stuff. On a light your eventually limited in lux/lumens based on the size of and quantity of batteries. These come with 2 rechargeable batteries, they are substantially bigger than AA, specialty batteries. More power longer life that way. There’s a reason the MAG lights have those huge D batteries. Don’t care what the patented design is on someone’s “ultra bright” light, if it’s AAA battery it’s marginal.

I use this head lamp alot. Dose not spook the deer. Works great for the really early morning hunts when you want to be there before light. My brother bought a expensive one and regrets it. This one out shines his all night long. Would buy again. He went and bought after using mine.

Ok, so this light is really good, but the battery holder is terrible. You’re going to have to wrap it with some electrical tape to keep it shit. This is why I would probably deduct 2 stars, but I add one back because you have the option of charging the batteries with a usb cable. This gives you the opportunity to rarely ever take the batteries out, unless they need replaced, which would be rare.

Amazing light. Perfect for coyote hunting and being in the woods in general.

This thing is too bright. Like a green spot light and the battery holder latch is too flimsy i'm afraid the batteries will fall out. I won't be using it to get to my deer blind I'll tape the battery holder shut and give it to one of the kids to play with.

Have other head lamps. This is the best one I own. Totally should buy it. Stop looking. Good value for the money for sure.
