Great paint, but buy elsewhere
I love this paint. I am painting the entire insides of my 20-year old RV, and I love that this paint is covering everything. It goes over glass, slick wood grain cabinetry and the bumpy wall paper equally well. I have sanded nothing and I am enjoying that I can use only one product to paint everythiing. I am even painting the plastic door and window surrounds and it goes on easily and covers well. It usually takes two coats. But why should that not be true, but that is to be expected when I am painting with light colors over dark colors and weird surfaces. Please watch videos about how to paint with this paint. It goes on best with a roller and not so well with a brush, so bought tiny rollers and edging tools to apply it in all the tiny spaces. I am using four colors, and the dark gray (pewter) is covering well with one coat. Today I will just touch up a few spots where brush strokes show and it will be beautiful. I painted my upper cabinets with this buttercream yellow and with the dark gray on the bottom, they look amazing. BEWARE: I have written on other Beyond Paint reviews about the trouble I have had with shipping from Amazon. They are not packaging well, and I won't order paint from them again. I have been ordering my most recent purchases of this paint from Home Depot and they do a much better job of packaging, so I trust them to get the paint to me in good order. Two of my shipments from Amazon failed entirely.

Seemed cool, but it just doesn't hold up
I bought Beyond Paint in "Buttercream" to paint a cabinet. The sales pitch sounded great, and while it seemed a bit pricey, I thought it would save time and work. It did not. The cabinet is a gently used entertainment center I converted into a "barmoire" a couple years back. It had a medium-colored wood finish that was in good shape, I just wanted to give it a fresh look. I cleaned it and set about painting it with Beyond Paint. After one coat, it really didn't look too good, so it definitely needs two coats. After the second coat, I thought it looked pretty good. I let it dry fully for 48 hours before putting the doors and drawers back into the cabinet, but imagine my horror when the slightest bump took the two coats of dry paint all the way back down to the wood! I tried scratching it gently with my fingernail in an inconspicuous spot under where a drawer would cover it, and it was the same. I emailed customer service, and they said the paint takes 30 days to cure and "During the curing period, it is recommended that the surface be left untouched [& ...] the surface is susceptible to chipping for up to the first week." They further suggested that if my item "is heavily used", I should apply a sealant. Well, my item is not heavily used, but I guess Beyond Paint is intended for museum pieces or something, not normal household items that may be touched. I put on two coats of sealant. And when I put the drawers and doors into place (paint now dry for a full week), again the slightest bump chipped the paint down to bare wood. In addition, in a couple areas, there's a weird crackly look that isn't terrible but also wasn't intended. Don't waste your money on Beyond Paint. Just use a good primer, paint and sealer; it'll be cheaper and it's tried and true. Their customer service also told me they refuse refunds, so there you go.

Color Differences
The Beyond Paint goes on smooth and does dry to a smooth finish. I have no problem with the application or result. The problem I have is the paint I've ordered is no where near the color on Beyond Paint's color samples showing on line. I ordered Buttercream thinking I would receive a nice, mild yellow colored paint. Didn't. The color was more of a brown. I painted a sample and it dried to more of a butterscotch color. I did email the company and ask if I could have received an old jar of paint and could this be the reason of the color discrepancy. I sent them photos. The answer I received was "I see what you mean. The color you see on the gallery may have a slight difference than the original because of the lighting and resolution of the camera used. You received a good batch of paint and the color is as expected." The color is more than a "slight difference". I would use Beyond's paint if I could trust the color trueness but now I can't. I could probably mix their paints to come up with a more tolerable color but I would rather buy a product that is ready to use.

NOT A LIGHT SOFT YELLOW.
Not the color it shows but I think it will work.

Really like it
Wow! Good stuff! Easy application, rich colors, good coverage, distresses nicely. Definitely applies better to sanded wood. Takes fewer coats to get a nice finish.

Best cabinet and furniture paint
In my current and previous home I used this paint to paint my kitchen cabinets. In my previous I blended two colors to get the perfect shade I was looking for. In my current home I used Buttercream and my cabinets are beautiful. No brush marks. A beautiful smooth finish. I highly recommend it.
