Collins Pocket German Dictionary Paperback – February 26, 2013

I've always been fond of the Collins German dictionary since school back in the Reagan administration. They're always careful to add value-added material, for example a section on computer terminology and tables of irregular verbs. They don't neglect idioms in their examples either, and are pretty good about providing differing scenarios when you might use a given verb. Fünf Sterne!

This is a very handy little dictionary. Use it all the time.

This was way too big for a “ pocket “ dictionary.it was the size of a woman’s purse! It was almost 2 inches thick and as big as a regular book!

Fortunately this book comes with translations because I can only read half of it. Not really pocket size unless your Andre the Giant or you're wearing JNCOs with deep back pockets.Either way, good product.

I got this Collins dictionary based on the one and only review by Chunky Style when I bought it. I have a big Oxford German/English but wanted a pocket version to take with me to class and an upcoming trip to Germany. This is a wonderful dictionary. First, it has highlighting in blu which, in my opinion, makes it so much easier to find the word you are looking for. Second, it covers the idioms, irregular verbs, and even phonetic symbols. It is chock full of modern terms and I can honestly say I've found every word I've been looking for so far.When I get more money, I'm going to invest in the big, full-sized Collins German Dictionary, but for now, this little gem is getting the job done. I highly recommend it, especially if you're in a class now, or just to a great little dictionary to take along on your travels.
