These are sturdy.
I ordered 10 (16") and have 2 stacks of 5 planted with bear root strawberries. They are just doing great. I ordered 4 strawberry plants per tier but these large size planters could have taken 8 plants per tier. Keep in mind that the towers need to be turned every several days to get full sun all the way around. Only a very sturdy 4 - 5 wheel caddy will make this an easy maneuver. A stack of 5 tiers is quite heavy with soil and plants. We just placed our 2 - 5tiers on a 16" concrete stepping stone and just drag them around to turn them which is not ideal. I originally wanted to hang them on a pole with a swivel but in this large size they are just too heavy. Moving them fully planted required carrying them 2 at a time, and with very wet soil 1 at a time. I am very pleased with the sturdiness of the plastic.

Good planter
I really like this stacking pot. I filled it with succulents and it worked great.

working well so far.
This is bigger than some of the other stackable pots. It is working great for herbs; thyme, basil and rosemary so far. Would probably work well for small flowers. I would say if the plant grows to more than about 12 inches, these shold go into the top pot.

18" Stackable pots for vertical planting
Bought 12 of these from seller's website at promotional price. I am not using this for hydroponic planting, will just use soil/coco coir and manually water each planter. I also have Greenstalks planters (19" and almost 11" deep), I will compare the two planters for vegetable planting. If both perform relatively the same, Mr. Stacky planters are much more affordable. Will update at a later date...**update**Received the stackable planters in less than 4 days after placing the order, that's very speedy delivery! The size of the planters is slightly smaller and shallower than Greenstalks', but the planting pockets are wider, wide enough to fit 2 buttercrunch lettuces. The locking mechanism for vertical stacking works fine. Due to its size and wide base, the vertical 'tower' should be stable after filling planting mix to make it weigh heavier. The planters are perfect for shallow root plants (kale or any cabbage, lettuce, beet, just to name a few...). I will use them to plant mainly vegetables and herbs...maybe some flowers in the future for rotation. However, I won't plant carrots or long root veggies in these.I upped the stars to 5-star. For the price and size of the planters, I would buy again and recommend it to others.
