I have medium brown hair with a little bit of gray. It comes out a nice coppery/golden brown color, with they gray looking like highlights. I wash my hair first and add a little baking soda to get it really clean. Then I towel dry and apply the mixture, cover my head and leave on for at least 2 hours. When you rinse it out, don't use shampoo the first time. I dyed it about a month ago, and although it has faded, the gray hairs still have some color on them, they just look light blonde now.

I switched to henna this summer, because the drug store hair dye damages my hair. This conditions and colors at the same time. It also creates an ombre affect if your in to that, because each strand of hair adjust to a color based on what has previously in your hair. If you want an all over color that is completely and positively only one shade, this isn't for you. However, the look this henna creates is much for natural in my opinion.

This stuff is soooo easy to use and really conditions my hair. I am a natural redhead and the color has lightened up a lot lately. This product restores the richness without harsh smelly chemicals and really conditions. Lasts 3-4 weeks and slowly fades instead of leaving lighters roots. Love it!

Sorry Surya, I gave you another chance but am still not happy.I've been coloring my light brown-going-grey hair for +10 years now with henna and have tried many, many different products. While I love how easy and non-messy Surya's product is- it just doesn't work as well. I followed the instructions and used the included pre-coloring shampoo. The color is pretty weak, even on my grey hairs that should take up color very easily. There is little to no conditioning effect (and the post-treatment conditioner wasn't at all helpful) like you get with "goopy" henna. It is just not worth the money, in my opinion. I'll stick with Light Mountain's products.

I love this henna, has a super-vibrant and trendy colors, is light, easy to apply, no mess is made! Personally I have to use at least every three weeks because I have a lot of gray. Yes, you have to wash your hair before and after use, but has the advantage that leaves hair soft and shiny, not like powder that besides being more complicated to prepare and use, I have felt that sometimes leaves very dry hair. The only disappointing thing is that this package does not bring as others of the same brand your shampoo and conditioner included.

My hair is a light brown, I followed directions and left the product on for 60 minutes. No result at all, no copper shades. My hair was just light brown as before. Got in touch with customer service, to ask for a refund, and the lady bounced back and forth 5 times asking more and more dear on how I applied the product. Given that I did follow directions, she just didn't know what else to say and simply stopped responding.I wouldn't suggest wasting time with this product.

I don't know if their product has changed over the years or it just doesn't work as well as it use too. The color fades fast, I'm going back to powder henna.

I loved this product, the color looked great, just what I wanted, and application was very easy. My hair is soooo soft after using this, also , my hair started growing at a faster rate.
