Stainless Steel Backsplash, 30" x 24", with Formed Edges

When I was reading reviews of the multitude of stainless steel backsplashes this one stood out due to it substantially higher price. But the reviews were generally really good and the "finished" edge appealed to me. It was really well packaged. I took a suggestion I read here and used a portion of the protective wood frame to help establish the firm base for alignment purposes. As shown, my pegboard supports the upper edge. I left the tough protective film on while sizing and checking things out. I used latex gloves when finally placing it so I would not leave finger prints. My current gas range will be replaced within the week with an induction range that will not contain the "built-in" backsplash so much more of this stainless steel product will be showing. The change to the lower height induction range is what drove the project.This is one product that I felt I could review quickly since there are no parts or electrical components to fail in the third or fourth week of ownership. This photo makes it seem that the backsplash is curved. It is not. That's an artifact of the camera and lighting. This backsplash is in place forever! It requires the use of Liquid Nails for installation. You must, must follow the directions on the Liquid Nails container, as well as the directions for the backsplash installation. Part of that is that once the backsplash is in place, it must be secured with painter's masking tape overnight. Be careful that you don't press to hard on the masking tape or you might peel away a bit of the paint on the wall adjacent to the backsplash. (I made this mistake, but have touch-up paint available.)I'm thrilled with the results. So easy to keep clean and works perfectly with the kitchen appliances.

Installed behind my new slide in stove…had a free standing range previously. I was impressed with the high quality finish, weight, and quality. The formed edges make it much higher end than just a sheet of stainless. In my case, I had to cut out for an outlet and used a crenel with a couple of cut off wheels. Highly recommend!!!!

This is an excellent product to fill the vacant area behind our new G.E. Profile induction slide-in stove and our G.E. Profile Microwave/Convection Oven above. The SS exactly matched the SS for both the stove and microwave.I installed it with the same heavy duty, very thin, double faced tape that came with the NASATECH Garage door reflective insulation kit that I bought on Amazon three years ago and still holding today in the Arizona sun.

Was easy to install and the edges are very nice. However, I wish I would have removed the film first to check for defects. There is a mark all the way across. If I would have taken the protection cover off before installing I would have turned it so it would have been hidden behind the stove.

The product was well packaged for shipping, and the exterior side is covered with a protective film, so the backsplash arrived safely and was installed without incident. I had planned on using double sided tape, but when I received the tape, the instructions warned against using on painted surfaces. Moreover, the directions with the back splash tell you to use construction adhesive. So I used both. The tape went around the perimeter, and the adhesive went inside the perimeter. Plus I used two cabinet screws along the bottom edge, fastened into two studs. So all in all, it’s pretty secure.

Great product and superior quality.If you're working solo, its important to retain the packaging wood protector edges. One can be repurposed as a level third hand, so to speak. Simply drill one hole and mount to a stud with a drywall screw. This will give you a level balance to apply to the wall (w/ Liquid Nails, in my case). Use masking tape after the adhesive is apply to eliminate any slight flexing. It looks custom and took about 20 minutes. Measure twice, order once.

Wow, this is worth the extra cost. The shipping box is amazing and the product arrived in perfect condition. Has a very nice edge on all four sides. We got the 30" wide by 24" tall which fit perfectly. we were able to slip it up between the wall and the exhaust fan. Just nailed two nails in the wall behind the range to hold it in place till our new range arrives. It just sets on the nails and sandwiched betweet the fan and the wall. Did not glue it to the wall at this time.
