JOOLA Magic 2-Star Training Table Tennis Balls - 48 Pack

I used to manage a game room on a college campus, and the ping pong equipment saw consistent and rough use. I tried several other brands of balls, and found they just did not hold up to the abuse of many college students day after day. The balls would crack way too soon and often. The Joola were the best all-around ball I found. They aren't quite "magic", but they did seem to hold up better than any other ball that I tried. It is a great ball for the price that does hold up well to heavy and hard play.

These are great practice balls. I would even go as far as saying most rec players will be completely happy playing regular matches with these balls. They are fairly consistent for a ball in general and fall under the extremely consistent if you consider they are meant for practice. For the money these are the best you are going to find. They are firm so are going to be more prone to cracking and if you rate durability against some of the softer practice balls they will not hold up however with those softer balls you give up stability and consistency for durability. My money moving forward are going into these as long as they keep making them. I am very happy with the overall performance and you cannot beat the price.

We haven't played enough (at least not yet) to really know one ball from another, but we like this one. We all like the orange color for tracking. It has a good/fast bounce with our Kettler Top Star Outdoor Table. We'll have to play with other balls to determine how it compares to others, but so far so good.

I bought these along with a new guy robot. There is no functional difference between these and the balls that come with the new guy robot. You run a lot of balls thru a robot, and they get blasted because you know where they will be and can get your best stroke every time. I also had 3 doz balls from a different makers (also rated as 2 star) So far I have had to take 12 balls out of rotation. Nine were of the other brand, 3 were from new guy. Not a very good test, but just an FYI.As far as play, I normally supply the balls for the group I play with (just because I'm the first one there), Purely by accident, about half way thru or three hour session, I switched one of these for the very expertise 3 star balls we always use. No one noticed! For almost 2 hours some damn good players smashed that ball around and never noticed it wasn't the 3 star ball we started with. I think that is impressive. Just for the heck of it, I put 10 on my postal scale, set the "count" function and then put a full gross of these in the box. It counted 144, which means the weight must be very close to perfect. Just for the heck of it, I tried the same thing on the other 2 star ball I had and it was off one ball on the count in only 36.I will be buying more of these!

These ping pong balls are exactly as described. Perfect for the recreational user. In retrospect, however, since I have no need for any type of 'quality' ping pong ball, I would defiantly have purchased one of the bulk cases available on Amazon of 144 balls.

This is our 3rd purchase. The previous two packages bought in 2013 are very good, but not this time. This package contains defective much lighter balls, one hour play and cracked one, and it was not having the speed as the previous. Don't buy if you are serious about your training.

I am very happy with these balls. Very nice quality. I purchased the 48 pack to test the quality before buying a gross. Sense these are quality, I'll buy a gross next time.
