It's the second cheapest device (January 2020) on Amazon. I chose it because of the European bar code, but it turned out made in Taiwan. The device works, the strips are calibrated, and come with a sheet explaining their testing and providing accuracy figures. It's reasonably accurate, but I had a couple of instances when, perhaps due to insufficient volume of the sample, the reading was abnormally low; then, a bubble between the electrodes was found. So, keep the sample large and dip the strip into it deeper. Well wish I'd brought this cheap little Ketone tester before i invested in one double the price. Ran out of test strips so came on amazon looking and can get this whole kit cheaper than 25 strips for mine. I wasted 17 getting my last one to work as kept giving me a error, first go on this one and got a reading. Cracking little machine.

Good product with concise instructions but research the nature of this kind of test first, it will help you understand the readings. Quick and easy to use. The "pricking tool" is easy and painless (it's not like an injection)

Very good. Easy to use to get quick ketone level. Just like a glucometer. You need to purchase lancets separate.

Should have had this before Feb 20 as ended up in a coma taken to hospital with keytone acidosis as result of high blood sugars. My meds where being changed. With this device when needed will be able to act sooner

Good to know when buying is that as soon as you have locked yourself in one brand you must buy the strips from them ... so look into strip prices before making a final decision -Other then that the machine works fabRemember to by the little blue needles for the shooter (not sure what it's called) and some small sterilising wipes to clean the area before you start
