Thankfully we were on the beach and not on a busy street because our dog pulled a little and it just broke off.

This is a strong sturdy leash and I love the color options.

This leash is great, especially if it gets wet. However the rope handle is not advised for dogs that tend to pull or jump or dance or any other no loose leash behavior. I use it for an over sized Irish Setter with a Holt anti-pull collar and it's great. Before the Holt, I wanted my old flat web leash back because the rope was pretty uncomfortable. That being said, all 3 of the Irish now have Holts and these leashes. They clean up nicely and seem to be pretty rugged. If you have a puller, go for the one with the foam padded hand loop.

I love this leash because it’s sturdy and I prefer the shorter leash for more control and a more pleasurable walk or bike ride with my dog. Hands down Mendota has the best leashes.

Just got it today and took my puppy for a walk/jog. It's great!! Got the 4ft orange one, good length for walking around public places where you don't want your dog to trip people with a leash that's too long. Also good for jogging next to you, it's not a heavy leash but is sturdy.Very good quality and the same color as the picture. I have a 7 month, 30lb. american bulldog mix, female.The width of the rope also fis into the clip for easy carrying or storage when it's not on your dog.

Really nice quality leather, metal clasp and rope. Hasn't frayed. A bit heavy for a dog less than 15lbs. We have the orange one and through multiple washes the color remains vibrant and the leash remains in tact.

This is a well made and attractive leash. We got the matching collar in Hunter Green...which is actually that color. The handle loop is soft and has a liitle stretch to it. The clip, although a touch heavy for a large Boston Terrier, works well. It's easier to clip on and off than previous leashes. The 4' length is good for us. Mendota may want to make a lighter weight leash clip for small dogs. I like that this is Made in the USA. I also reviewed the collar. We will most likely buy Mendota, again.

I needed a leash to attach to my dog's harness and initially, we purchased a flat leash. That leash burned by hand every time the leash pulled and I felt like I had very little control with it. The Mendota leashes are braided so they are very sturdy and comfortable. We have a Mendota slip leash that has been used for at leash two years, and it is still in excellent shape (and we walk our dog at least twice a day). I love this one and the color is great too. I would recommend these leashes to anyone.

Softest leash ever - it’s gorgeous and for the love of god it’s 4 feet. LOVEit did take an eternity to get here though.
