The Shadowlands: A Branches Book (The Last Firehawk #5) Kindle Edition

The stories in this series are so awesome with engaging characters. I started reading them over the portal to my grandson in Louisiana and he never wants me to stop reading. We are on book 8 now and both enjoying them so much and the lovely animals and creatures in the books. Love the questions at the end, too, we have fun answering them together. I read the books to him and then send them to him to read. He loves to reread them and see the pictures too. His reading has improved so much just reading these books. I have a reluctant reader who has fallen in love with the series. He came home from school today and patiently waited for the mailman to drop off the new book. Since then he has already read it cover to cover twice and is working on the third round. It’s hard to get him to read anything at all. He said the new book was really good (which is about as much of a conversation you’ll get from a ten year old) and is already asking for a countdown for the next one.I highly recommend this series for reluctant readers. The illustrations captivate and draw them into the story, and the stories themselves are rememerable.

My kid is in kindergarten and loves reading this series. She said that the story was exciting and I could tell by her concentration that she really enjoyed it. Scanning a few pages of the book, there are also many pictures along with the text to help the reader. There are also questions in the back of the book that parents can use to test comprehension.

My 7 year old son loves this series. He loves a barn owl and this series is a huge hit for him. Animals are main characters but it's not too cute so boys easily hook on this series.I also love this one. I wish author writes more faster(hahaha). We can't wait to read next book!!!

My son, who is 9, loves this series. He can’t wait for more to come out! Getting him to read has not been a fight anymore. The pictures are well done and the writing and story line are great to keep his attention. If you child likes fantasy/adventure type books, I strongly recommend this one.

The kids and I enjoyed it! We take turn reading it! My second grader feels good about himself reading chapter books.

My 10 and 8 year old children love this series of books! I have even read a couple they have an adventure story line!

This series is great for encouraging a child to read. Each book ends with comprehension questions so this also helps to guide a young child who is learning to read.
