SPANK SPIKE 800 BICYCLE HANDLEBAR World Cup quality performance, developed with the pros. SPANK Industries' legendary SPIKE 800 Race handlebar is the 5th generation of the SPIKE Race handlebar legacy, developed in coordination with some of the world’s top DH and Enduro pros. A unique construction of Super 6 alloy, processed with SPANK’s patented CNC bending and XGT technology makes the SPIKE 800 Race handlebar a stronger, safer, performance optimized component for the weight conscious gravity rider. The race tuned geometry and competitive weight make this bar the perfect solution for AM/Enduro to Downhill Race. SPANK's SPIKE 800 Race is the handlebar of choice for Nicholi Rogatkin, Thomas Genon, Tomas Zejda and many more. Dual XGT (Extreme Gradual Taper) Technology: This is a proprietary tube drawing process that tapers the bars from the thickest area at the bar clamping zone, slowly and gradually through the bend zones, to the thinnest areas at the control zones and back to thicker reinforced bar end zones, or “Impact Ends”. Spank has utilized FEA (Finite Element Analysis), laboratory, and rigorous real world testing to optimise the spread of material to where it is needed to withstand the specific forces at work in each zone, while offering better protection against crashes than ever before! The extreme precision enabled by Dual XGT drawing processes also eliminates the need for heavy hand grinding, which can result in imperfections and inconsistency in wall thickness. Super-6 Aluminium: This is a specially blended, highly magnesium-silicon enriched, work hardened alloy. Super-6 offers the perfect mix of hardness, yield, fatigue life, and a superior ultimate tensile strength to standard 6 series alloys. It is ideal for the creation of thin walled, super stiff handlebars. Through recent adoption of Super-6 materials, Spank’s Spike handlebars are now stronger and show greater resistance to deformation than ever before!

Great bars at a decent price.
I got the blue in the 50r spec. I've been running nearly flat bars most of my life but over the last few years have transitioned more to all mountain/downhill riding and these have completely changed the way the bike feels, particularly on steep descents the riding position overall makes you feel much more confident and in control (where as flat bars on steep descents can give you more of a feeling of going over the bars, not to mention the general riding position is more comfortable. Feels more similar to riding a dirt bike. The steering does feel more vague on flat trails and turns with a hint more understeer feel. Climbs have your arms just a bit more tucked towards your chest but I'd say the benefits I get from it otherwise overshadow these cons. The quality of the bars seems good. I trimmed them down to 780 and found the measurement marks on my bars to be fairly close. One side was spot on and the other side was off by about 1mm. Like any bars, if your going to trim them it is best to use a measuring device to get the most accurate measurements. They cut pretty clean with a pipe cutter. Although I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, I was able to drill and debur two small holes in the bars to route cables for my ebike controls. I have around two dozen hard rides on them so far and they have held up well. The bar ends also work well with the Granite stash in-bar tools. The color is a very rich vibrant blue and seems to match most aftermarket anodized blue parts colors pretty well.If you are debating about which meauremnt to go, I'd say if you ride primarily cross country go with the flatter bars and if you do a mixtures of steep stuff and cross country, somewhere in the middle. But if you ride mostly downhill stuff like myself then go for the higher r.

Thought I was getting the vibra-core
My bad on not reading through the title. Non vibration control filled foam bars which work fine as a normal bar BUT get the foam ones.. changed my sore hands to happy ones.

ACHTUNG! Beschriftung vollkommen unbrauchbar!

Bel manubrio, costo contenuto
Un bel manubrio che non ha nulla da invidiare a renthal o altri, leggero e ben studiato, vediamo nel tempo...
