17/10/20, Saturday. I have a 80GB HDD that is more than 15 years old. I used it in y old Windows XP pc. After a long time I tried to turn on that pc but it never turned on. So I tried to retrieve my files by any means. At that time I saw this product and ordered immediately. Delivery took 5 days only and worth it. Now about connecting the device. it is super easy. 1.Connect the power supply to a plug point. 2.Connect the 4 pin to adapter 3.Connect the HDD to adapter(in my case it is a 40 pin IDE) 4.Connect the USB to laptop or PC. 5. Turn ON the ON/OFF switch in adapter 6.Turn On the main power plug that's it. It works like a charm. No need of any drivers. Does the job perfectly. I have another HDD to check. I believe that also work for sure. If your HDD is in bootable condition then it will work perfectly. Delivery is good. Packaging is also good. In this Covid-19 situation also their delivery is amazing. The delivery person maintained No Contact Delivery. Thanks to Amazon. And last but not least this is my very first order in Amazon. I'm fully satisfied with Amazon.

Excellent product for anyone trying to recover old files from old hard drive. I had a 3.5inch ide with separate power to be recovered and this product came to rescue. Worked like a charm. Although the product feels a bit cheap, the plugs don't install smoothly for power to ide and into this box, but once it was done, it worked and that's what matters. Also tested a sata 3.5" HDD and could use that as well. I wish they had given info on jumper settings on the HDD to be same as before I.e in master and not slave. Also, these are on the higher side. Would had been happy to pay 700-800 max for these but unfortunately they are expensive for approx 1700 bucks..

I had tried various ide to sata/usb interfaces. But this one is the best. Easy to use and good build quality. Worked without and hiccups. The earlier interfaces i got were a pain to get going.

It didn't work, the hard drive couldn't be read, and it wasn't the port I wanted. I want a refund, not a replacement!! Why is there no return option on the website? Only replacement.

This Connector is suddenly disconnecting from your PC when you copy more than 200 GB of data from hard disk or SSD and speed is only 100 MB/S of HDD which has 7200 rpm based.....and charger of this device has no quality.

It is a good product.... Can be used to recover data from old HDDs. I'm using this for my DVD writer.... Works perfectly well.

No OTG cable for usb type c in box, but product image count in box. Value of money, if you have old DVD writer and hard disk, and you wanted to utilise them. Durability is so so, It has Plastic body, could break if sliped on floor. Presentation box, You can easily damage product box, description and name printed on ring cardboard, sliding in and out will surely damaged you may fold it and put inside of white box if wanted to keep name of product.
