This is THE sun hat I've been looking for. Hopefully I can save a few other people hours hunting on the internet.The brim is wide enough to cast lots of shade on my face on a hot day, but not so wide that it will act like a sail on a windy day. The brim is pretty stiff, not floppy.I chose dark blue which is actually navy, so its a useful colour to wear on holidays as well as for walking and gardening. Its not plastered with gimmicky logos or 'features'...the simpler the better for me.It fits my big head. None of the ladies hats fitted comfortably, some wouldn't fit at all. It doesn't look ridiculous on my face as lots of other hats do.With the vented section my head stays cool. And the chin strap keeps it in place when I'm gardening.Its very lightweight and would be good on camping holidays or in a day-sack.It was cheaper than many other options I looked at.At last, the hunt for the perfect sun hat is over!

The Brim of the hat is too wide and rigid, so it will have odd folds in it The Brim is reasonably thick and should offer some shade from Sunlight. I like the mesh venting in the Crown, but feel that the overall thickness of the Crown is very thin being Polyester, and I doubt it is UFP50 and offer much protection from UV rays. I like the draw cord preventing the hat from blowing away + the pullcord at the back of the Crown allowing the hat to fit the majority of head sizes. Some nice features in this hat, but I wouldn't feel confident wearing it to protect me from UV rays. I'd advise wearing sunblock on your head, to be safe.

In these exceptional hot and sunny days we have been having this is a good hat when out (sports event etc.) to help keep from burning as the brim ensures coverage to the neck as well as the face, throat and top part of the chest. Wearing a hat can be hot (this does have ventilation areas) and although this polyester hat is reasonably light still it’s warm but it’s better than getting sunstroke!It’s pretty comfortable to wear, you can adjust fit to head (not sure how effective it is) and there is an adjustable cord which goes under the chin - allows the hat to hang so as not to drop/fall off when not wearing.

I liked the strap plastic thing that moves easily to tighter or slacker, like the things you have on your coat hood to make it fit but flatter and lighter and actually easier to use. A toggle. My hat is a nice light green with the airy lacey strip in the top of the hat connected to the brim. Its a good brim too and fits on easily. Very useful for the garden and greenhouse as it wont slip off. Great stuff. Arrived quickly. I would buy here again. Bought during Covid crisis 2020. It was a fair price too.

Good hat, wide brim will protect from the sun. The depth is a bit lacking for those with large heads but will fits me well. The colour is more sand dune than khaki which is exactly the way I like it. Just back from the beach - I can't believe how much tanned my friends have become - this hat has stopped me from tanning too much (I don't like tanning too much).

The brim on this hat is bigger than I thought, but it actually comes in handy in the sun – which is what it's for after all! The hat part itself is also roomy, and may not suit anyone with a smaller head than mine. However, it fits me, and all I need now is for the bowling to open again and I can put it to good use.

Had to return this, as although it just about fitted around my large head, the crown was far too shallow for me to pull it down enough so it would stay on. It felt like it was balanced on the top of my head! It looked fine off my head, so I was disappointed that it was too small for me.

The fit is reasonable but the cord to adjust only goes through part of the hat although there are holes all around the brim that it could have been fitted through. The material is pretty low quality especially on the crown which was crushed, is a bit on the shallow side and is full of creases. Would have expected to pay 3 to 4 pounds for it but as shopping is difficult atm and delivery was included I wouldn't say the value was terrible. It is very light but I'm not sure how well it will hold up in a wind.
