Six Stars!
This is a really clever device. We have a narrow laundry room and three athletes in the house, so lots of exercise wear that can't go in the dryer. The large drying rack holds an entire load of workout gear. Most of the time it's folded out of the way - awesome! The unit is nicely made and seems substantial. As the large rack is wide, and a full load of wet clothes is heavy, we didn't want to hang it on drywall alone. The screw holes for mounting can't be altered (it's plastic) and they're not spaced for standard wall framing in the US. Our solution was to attach a 1/4" thick board to the wall spanning the 2x4s (typically 16" o.c.) and then screw the unit to the board. It worked perfectly and we can't even see the board.

Nice space saving design
My daughter hang dries almost all her clothes. I had one of those floor standing scissor racks but is was constantly getting in the way as our laundry room was not designed with space for it. I was looking for something wall mounted that would retract when not in use. I ended up getting the small and large Telefix drying racks. I didn't think one was enough for all the clothes and I did not have space for two large ones - so one large and one small looked like it would do the trick. I researched the options and thought this was the best one. I read the reviews and was prepared for the substandard mounting hardware which was quickly discarded. A few drywall lugs later and I had both racks installed. I really like the telescoping design. There were some reviews critical of the plastic but I find it sturdy and have no concern about it breaking. We have had this up for several months with constant use and no problems. It is super easy to pull it open and to close it when you are finished. All in all a great find.

Good product and good service!
Received package that was previously opened and returned apparently. However, seller made it right immediately upon being told. That said, the product is of excellent quality and easy to install. Very handy and practical. I would recommend the product for quality and the seller for good customer service.

Easy to use and sturdy
This is a great "clothes line" without having to string one across your garage. It's compact but when you expand all the rods, it fits alot of clothes. It's surprisingly sturdy. I fill it up with pants, sweaters, dresses that I can't put in the drying. The rods bend a little but never break. I ended up buying a second one. And very easy to install, takes 2 screws.

Perfect for over our utility sink
I love this drying rack. It can dry things flat or really load it up by hanging over the rods. Keeps the clothes far enough part to allow good air flow, while maximizing space. If you're not using it you can easily close it up and it's very unobtrusive, nearly flat against the wall. Mine is constantly being used, though, lol. My mother had one for many years, and this one has performed flawlessly for at least 3 so far.

Same exact design from 25 years ago, but quality/sturdiness far less than our original Leifheit
This design has been around a very long time. The original one I had on ether wall was at least 25 years old. We decided to change it, because we repainted the laundry room in white, and the original unit was molded in a darkened beige. The latest version is white in color. It is nearly exactly the same as our original (don't fix a mouse trap that ain't broken). So much so that the same mounting anchors and hardware still worked, did not have to do anything other than unscrew the bolts from the old, and then put back on with the new. 3 minutes, nice when things go easily. The only difference, the plastic quality of the new is flimsy and less dense, compared to our 25-year old model. You can even tell by weight-the old model is 3-4 times heavier, even though the dimensions are identical. The original was made in Germany. The new model indicates on the box, "Designed in Nassau, Germany" and "Made in the Czech Republic". So they moved production to lower labor and manufacturing costs, which in Germany tend to be highest in Europe. We can hope only that this new model will last also for 25 years. But I doubt the plastic will hold up over the years in the same way as the old model. Anyway, good news is that I had no work really to get it back up on the wall.

Great space safer, easy to operate and easy to store away....worth the buy!
Overall, it’s a 5 star rating. It looks sleek, clean and is easy to operate. Provides a good amount of drying area. If I had any thing negative to say about it, it’s not the product, but the cheap wall mount screws and plastic wall insert for the screws. If you don’t have a wall stud to hit exactly where a mount hole is, don’t use the provided bolt and plastic wall inserts, go buy a toggle bolt that goes through the wall and opens up to hold the wall bolt securely. Otherwise, we love the product.

Perfect for small laundry spaces
Our "laundry room" is actually a cramped corner of our basement without a lot of space to store things, let alone set up drying racks. After years of squeezing around precariously perched drying racks and hanging things from hangers hooked around nails in the dusty ceiling joists, I came across this wall-mounted option. Oh happy day! I will note that we took the advice of some other reviewers and mounted a piece of scrap wood to the wall, screwing it into studs, and then attached the drying rack to the scrap wood. That setup is very sturdy. I love the amount of clothing I can dry on this rack. Since we are using it in a small space, the fact that it easily retracts is a major selling point. The only spot for improvement is that I wish the cross bars (the ones that hold the laundry) were a bit thicker. They are plenty strong, but they can leave marks in some fabrics. To avoid that, I sometimes hang things across 2 bars to distribute the weight so there's not as much creasing caused by a single bar. Despite that issue, I love it so much that I'm contemplating buying another so I can hang even more laundry at one time!
