Durable and the best pan for the money
Tefal has to be the best pots and pans for the money in the industry. So much better non-stick than that copper crap I've bought before and very durable Cooks evenly also

Excellent small skillet for induction
I've used in about ten times and am happy with it. The perfect size for an omelette, 2-3 fried eggs, or a grilled cheese sandwich. Excellent non-stick surface and comfortable handle. Works well on our induction range. The red dot is completely unnecessary.

Recent purchase is an excellent skillet.
My Amazon account reminded me that I purchased this same item in April, 2019. The skillet that I just now received is not the same item as the one from 2019. The 2019 purchase was not an induction skillet, the entire skillet was aluminum without a magnetic stainless steel bottom; the new skillet does have a magnetic stainless steel bottom, and this is exactly what I wanted. The new skillet is heavier and is an excellent product so far. I recently purchased a larger version of this skillet and it has performed excellently, including the non-stick coating which is still completely intact.

Notstick pan comparison
This pan has the best nonstick coating of all I've tried. I've been on a mission to find a pan that really retains its nonstick ability and here are my findings. I've found that I prefer nonstick for my skillets for most cooking because of easy cleanup. My main set of cookware is All-Clad which I love for most things, but not nonstick. The nonstick ability on the All-Clad skillet morphed to super-stick far too soon and that's an expensive pan to throw out. So I decided to follow Alton Brown's advice to get a less costly pan and replace it as needed.I started with Farberware and was very pleased. Used those skillets for over three years before I had to replace them and because they had done so well, I got more Farberware. The newer ones haven't been as good though. Still okay, but I was beguiled by some of the fancy sounding new pans advertised and decided to try one.Well, the Orgreenic pan is just stupid. Didn't last a week before stuff started sticking badly. Next was the GreenPan, which isn't green in color, by the way. It's pretty good and I use it, but does require more cleanup than I like. I tried the red pan with the white interior from BB&B and was really impressed at first, enough to buy another size, but those began sticking after two months and ended up in the landfill too. I've had this one now for two months and it's still slide out perfect nonstick all the time. Depending on what I'm cooking I may use a bit of oil or butter, but mainly for flavor. If I use nothing on this pan, it still does extraordinarily well. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is the thermo-spot, which seems useless to me. I've never yet had it turn opaque before I started cooking until the pan was so hot butter added to fry an egg burned immediately. Now I don't pay any attention to the spot and add my product for cooking when the time seems right to me. That works fine and I'm still very happy with the pan. I'll give it a while longer before buying another size and will update if things change, but so far it's the best I've tried, tolerating higher temps better than others, cooking evenly and holding heat well in addition to the effective nonstick feature.

Pits appear in nonstick surface after 3 years
I have been using the 8" version of this pan for over 3 years. It's been a great pan, but the nonstick coating has recently failed, so it's time to replace it. I might get the exact same pan.CONDITION AFTER 15 MONTHS OF USEMy first 2 photos show it after 15 months of almost daily use. The non-stick surface is still perfect. The black coating has worn off the rivets on the inside, but this doesn't bother me. On close examination, the handle has a very slight amount of play where it is riveted to the pan, but it's not something I would notice when using it, and it doesn't bother me. It may have been this way when new, but I didn't notice.CONDITION AFTER 3.5 YEARS OF USEThe third photo shows the pits in the nonstick coating that have started to appear recently. On average, I probably used this pan 2 out of 3 days since I've owned it.PROPER CAREI have never used a metal utensil on it, only my Matfer Bourgeat Spatula. which I also love (perfect for eggs) or a wooden spatula. I have never put it in the dishwasher, so I don't know how this might affect it. I wash it with the rough side and the soft side of a plastic scrubber sponge.I have never used it on high heat.DOMED BOTTOM ISSUEThe bottom of my pan is indeed slightly domed, about 1mm (I used a flat object to observe this), so oil/butter does slide to the edges. This does not bother me at all. If I needed the entire bottom surface of the pan to be evenly coated in fat, I wouldn't be using a nonstick pan. As soon as I add my food, if I feel the need, I can move it around a bit to spread the fat around, but I don't even do this when frying eggs.. I just add a little oil, which rolls around, mostly toward the edges, heat it up, and add the eggs. No big deal. No sticking. I have never tried to cook in it without oil, but I'm pretty sure I could.OTHER COMMENTSI have never paid any attention to the red heat indicator, so I can't comment on that.
