Blend this with your foundation for a flawless facial finish!
OK, I've been using this Babyganics for about 2 weeks now. The brand was recently recommended to me by a former beauty queen, as well as it appears on the Environmental Working Group's list of safe, effective sunscreens for beach and active lifestyles. I had wanted a sunblock without oxybenzone, but have shied away from those containing zinc oxide - not wanting to look like a ghost! Well, this sunscreen seems to fit the bill.Yes, it does take a bit more *work* to rub it into the skin (face, limbs, etc.,) and initially, your face may appear a bit whiteish. But in a few minutes, it seems to be absorbed. I actually think my face looks awesome when I combine this sunscreen with my usual foundation. I blend up a daub of this plus the foundation in the palm of my hand, then gently blend it all over my face. The result is a flawless, matte finish. By contrast, the other sunscreens & sunblocks I use leave a very SHINY, greasy, oily-looking finish. Ugh!I have now replaced my current Banana Boat SPF 50 with this Babyganics SPF 50, and am very happy with it! I bought a 2-pack at Amazon.com, and got a great price plus prime shipping.

Heavy duty stuff!
I like this brand of sunscreen for 3 reasons1. It helps protect my babies from the harm sun rays.2. and it doesn't have all those nasty chemicals like most other "brand" name products on the market3. It received a good rating from the EWG: [...]***This is a super thick formula. You will need to do a lot of rubbing in so that the white residue doesn't show. However this doesn't bother me on my 2 year old because she could care less! However if you are using it on yourself in public you'll need to put in some extra elbow grease due to the high level of zinc.

Chemicals are active ingredients! Nothing organic or all natural about this product.
Very misleading with the name Babyganics. Mineral "based" still means chemicals are the major active ingredients. Clever marketing and packaging on their part. Read the ingredients and the known side effects. Definitely not what you want to put on your developing babies. They offer a stick that's all natural and there are several other companies that use only zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. If you want to limit toxic ingredients and chemicals on your kids, look for only those two active ingredients for sunscreen. Read ingredients carefully, lesson learned!

Eczema baby - great sunscreen
We were using Banana boat and it was making my daughter's eczema worse. We got this stuff because it had all my requirements: paba and paraben free etc. etc. I didn't have a hard time rubbing it in at all. I did have to shake the bottle up prior to squeezing it out but otherwise it was easy to rub in and apply. It was a fair amount of product for the price. However it is not as waterproof as it says it is. We applied and my daughter was in the water for a good 45 minutes and she had tan lines afterwards. Not okay. It said to reapply after 80 minutes. Once wet, I could see it dripping off so your really have to rub it in at least 15 minutes before entering water to get it to soak into the skin THEN reapply a half an hour later after that. However, it didn't make her eczema worse and it for the most part works.

Love it!
After reading a ton of reviews for baby suntan lotion I finally settled on this one. I took my 1 year old to the beach for the first time and she hardly got a tan. We spent at least a few hours at a time in the direct sun. It goes on a little white but if you rub it in it will fade. I didn't really pay that much attention to the whiteness as I was chasing a 1 year old at the beach. It is a great price for a great suntan lotion!!

Caused allergic reaction - too late to return!
This sunscreen caused an allergic reaction in my toddler. She has pretty typical skin and has not reacted to other products. I bought this because it was organic and I thought it would be more gentle! It was also super thick and hard to rub on or rub in. When I tried to return it, I was surprised to see that the policy did not accept returns after 30 days. Now I am stuck with two bottles of a lotion I can't use. I will go back to using Aveeno Baby which has worked great.

Doesn't sink into the skin...
I love that its organic and its a great price, but you really have to work to rub it into the skin--most kids wont be able to sit still long enough. Not a creamy consistency. If you don't mind being pasty and streaky its great. I used it on my baby who wasn't in the sun for more than a couple minutes at a time so I dont know how long application lasts.

Best sunscreen!
We have 2 daughters with a lot of medical and sensitive skin. Our oldest is recovering from chemo and her doctors gave us a long list of ingredients to avoid in sunscreens. This was the only one her doctors approved for her to use during her chemo. Our 2nd has severe eczema and her skin gets irritated easily. However she has had no reaction to this sunscreen! We absolutely love it! We had previously bought it at Buy Buy Baby, however they stopped carrying the big bottles, which is why I was so happy to find it on Amazon!
