Jack Richeson 121307 Shiva Oil Paintstik, Iridescent Tropical Colors, Set of 6

I'm using the paint sticks with rubbing plates on fabric. The iridescent colors shine well against multiple colors of fabric. They aren't very messy or difficult to get stray paint off your hands.

Although you can get these separately, it was great being able to find these together. The only thing I would have added is a pastel yellow, and you would have a true tropical set of colors. They blend with each other beautifully and are the best set of oil paints I have ever used on fabrics! Great for starting with your own "blank canvas", enhancing, or adding "missing elements" to already printed fabrics.

Amazingly soft and creamy with excellent coverage!

These oil paints in a crayon form are genius!! I use them on fabric and heat set them with an iron when they have completely dried. They give an iridescent sheen to the painted fabric

Used on furniture and gave a fun different look

Loved the color and the way it went onto the painted pieces of wood.

So much fun to use. I love what we've done so far. I particularly like the iridescent ones used with the matte ones, Great quilts have come out of them.

These oil sticks are worthless if you're using them to paint. They don't cover and they're not bright, despite the fact that they are bright colors. For instance, I use the green oil stick on canvas or treated wood and it just looks like pale green shiny slime. The color beneath it is still visible. The package suggests using these on fabrics so maybe i'm using them for the wrong thing.
