ROCAM M200HD Wireless Day/Night Network Camera with Two Way Audio (White and Silvery)

This camera provides good picture quality in my testing so far in normal and low light conditions. The problems with it are:1. WiFi functionality is not reliable. I managed to get the camera connected to my network once, and if it is not within about 5 feet of my router, it seems to lose its connection. I ended up having to do a hard reset on the camera about 10 times to figure this out. So I ended up plugging it in to ethernet and not selecting a WiFi network and it works well that way. But for WiFi, it's basically useless. I think it also resets its WiFi connection if the power is lost. It is simply too unreliable to be used over WiFi. If you plug it directly into ethernet and use it that way, it works great though.2. iPhone App is missing some features. For example, when you view the videos, there are no playback controls. Selecting a video just plays it. No fast forwarding, no pausing, nothing. It needs some basic video controls. Also a share button on the videos would be nice as well. I would like to, for example, save specific videos off to dropbox, or at least have some way to get them off the SD card through the iPhone app without having to physically take out the SD card. Not sure if that's even possible but it would be nice.3. The LED lights on the unit are too bright, especially the blue light on the power cord box. The lights are so bright, it tends to bleed into the images in low-light conditions. Covering them with some electrical tape does an ok job at solving the problem.4. Poor English translations are all over in the manual, marketing literature, and all over in the iPhone app. I have not tested the app on Android or PC, but I'm guessing it's the same. They need to hire a native English speaker to translate these documents and software apps if they want to be serious vendors in the English-speaking market.If these problems were fixed, this camera would get 5 stars. The price is right and the overall quality and design/shape of the camera are very good. I think it's a good start on a camera of this type, but it does have its problems.

I could not use this camera- I wanted to set it up in my dads room at his assisted living facility, but I needed to hard plug it into the modem then connect to the WIFI - well he does not have access to the modem where he lives so this was rendered useless to me- I wish that was spelled out in the item description. I also tried to connect it at my home to see how easy it would be to use- and I had a lot of trouble with it keeping a connection in the same room as my home modem. Instructions were not very user friendly. This camera would take more time and trouble than it is worth or cost to figure out and use it for what I wanted it for. And I had the opportunity to purchase this camera at a discounted cost for testing, inspecting and reviewing. I was not compensated and am not required to write this review. This is my opinion based only on my experience with this product.

Very nice camera. I currently use it on my window sill facing my driveway. The only thing I don't get is it won't alert me when motion is detected. All in all very nice product. I did receive at a discount rate in exchange for an honest review.
