High quality, nice finish and fit
Got this to carry back-up magazines for my Kel-Tec PF9. If you know the pistol, the mags are pretty small so I wasn't to sure how they would fit in this pouch. I was very pleasantly surprised that with just a little tightening of the tension screw and the mags hold firm and solid, but are easily drawn for a magazine change. The leather is thick and strong with a nice and smooth finish VERY NICE PRODUCT!!

Great for 1911 mags!
This BLACKHAWK! Leather Magazine Pouch (Dual Mag for Single Stacks) is really comfortable! I am using it horizontally ~1 or 2 o'clock on a 5.11 #59501 1.5-Inch Leather Casual Belt and it is very comfortable and easy to draw from, even with some unfortunate belly overhang. I have also tried it vertically between 6 & 9 o'clock and it was very comfortable even while sitting in the car. The quality seems top notch and the retention is more than adequate. This was definitely a good purchase.

Pretty tight on 1911 mags as delivered
Upon receipt I was happy with this item. No complaints about construction or materials. The mounting options are great. Use the snaps for quick on/off without removing your belt, or lace the belt through the slots for a much more secure option. A quality 1-1/2" gun belt fills up those slots perfectly, nice and snug. It should be noted that those snaps will pop if you carry this thing toward the front of your body and bend over and stress them. Problems arose when I slid a couple 1911 mags in, they were very, very tight, as in you'd have problems pulling them out tight, even with the adjustment screws removed. So I wrapped the mags in a few mils of plastic, put them in and tightened the screws down. 24 hours later, much better, but still hanging up. I ended up having to remove the rubbed bushings and trim them down a bit, as the mags were dragging on them and no amount plastic was going to cure that. Once it was stretched out a bit and those pieces of rubber were trimmed, no complaints. One other thing worth noting is the rear (or front, if you're one of those right handed freaks) holder will always be a little tighter than the front due to how the leather overlaps, no solutions for that, but it's far from a deal breaker.

Does the job very well!
Great magazine holster. Works very well and can be adjusted but I find it to be a bit bulky for my taste as it can print with light cover during the summertime. Otherwise its great for winter and does well at the range or classes with drills that require you to shoot from the ground.

Excellent Product
This leather dual mag pouch from black hawk is superior to any I have bought in the past. It has adjustable tightness to keep mags in place if having to run. It is tuff leather and am glad I made this purchase. I would recommend it to any serious or novice carrier for cqb or self defense.

fundamentally flawed
the basic design is flawed. i still use it because it's all i've got and i need it for work, but i'm on a constant watch to find something better.the reason is very simple: the button closure of the belt loop is upside down. the buttons are at the top, instead of the bottom. the reason this is bad is that, if they come unsnapped, the entire holster will literally flop down and then slide out from under your belt. if the belt loop folded down from the top and snapped at the bottom, then the buttons coming undone wouldn't be a big deal. the holster would remain upright, and gravity would keep it hooked on your belt.

NOT for serious law enforcement work...
Street cops--If you were looking for a great duty replacement to the Bianchi model of this same style, THIS AIN'T IT. I never thought I'd ever be disappointed with a Blackhawk! product but this is it. Why would you make a duty belt accessory that doesn't fit on a standard (2 1/4") Sam Browne duty belt?!? I put it on a dress belt and got it to fit...until you realize they didn't use one way/locking snaps! The minute it catches on the seat belt, POP!, off it comes. I'd send it back but by the time I get done it isn't worth the time or effort. I will soak the leather in water, stretch it manually to fit and then have a friend weld the snaps shut. Made in Italy, figures. #BLACKHAWK!FAIL.

I really expected more.
Over all quality of the holster was awesome. The fit was really tight on 1911 mags. Took sum stretching. I received mine with cracked leather. Realy not happy about that, but I'm looking for functionality not beauty. But still a huge downer receiving damaged goods.
