Just the right size. The shape is elegant.

I bought four of these years ago. They were not made in China at the time. They have been absolutely fabulous. Wanting to add to the set, I ordered two more in 2016. Oh, what a difference. Neither little casserole is the same shape or size. One has sides that have been collapsed and so is wider, and one has a definite pinch or little point at one end of the oval. Will this affect their use? Probably not, but they are not as good looking as their older version. I can tell you I paid three times as much for these two as I did for a set of four ten years ago. That being said, they are a perfect size for a "complete meal" type casserole. I can fill them, add a topping or crust, and since they are deep, not have them boil out onto the oven floor. They are heavy and seem to heat consistently. They wash in the dishwasher beautifully. If I were to look at the two I just received, however, I would have to classify them as "seconds" or maybe something sold on the "discards" table. I would not want my company's name on them.

Wish there were lids available for these, but they're pretty great at a great price. The perfect size for a single meal.

Smaller than I would have expected even though I did read the ounce capacity. I did not expect the liquid would be standing slightly above the rim for this ounce capacity. And though it has nothing to do with the features of the product, they did arrive with one broken. That makes me wonder about how long it will take for another to get broken in everyday use.
