Carbon Fiber Motorcycle Tank Protector Pad for Ducati Diavel

A little challenging to get this on the bike because of the number of pieces (5) but looks great and is well made. Quality 3M adhesive is used and comes with alcohol wipes to pre-clean the area, instruction sheet is kind of small or maybe I'm getting old. Looks as good as the original, time will tell if the product will yellow but that is the risk with most tank protectors.

Just need to line up carefully. It works well and looks good. I would recommend this to Ducati Diavel owners.

High quality as with previous products I've had in this brand.Read Bob.M's review regarding fitting tips as that was very helpful and others have said, take your time and use tape/pencil etc to make guide marks.It would be nice if the product came with a carrier tape holding everything together as that would make it so much easier to fit, but otherwise 5 starts!

Well, the product is definitely a quality item. Very clean cuts and no detected flaws in the weave. That being said, this product doesn't line up with the current gen Diavel tank lines. I'm in the process of mocking it up on the tank rearranging the pieces to see if I can make it work. I really do like the design, but it's NOT going to work on a 1260 without getting creative with the design layout. Buyer beware.

I'll give it 5 stars, well made with clean edges and quality 3M adhesive. Like other reviews, take your time on the installation. The instructions were for a different type of tank protector but that was ok as they are pretty much generic. I found the best way to proceed was to place a small piece of tape on the top front of the seat to show the center of the tank where it meets the seat. First, dry fit the piece with the Ducati logo. Mark the points with a soft pencil on the tank (alcohol wipe removes the graphite). After the logo piece is mounted, move upward using the same procedure on the "m shaped" piece and then the small top center piece. Finally, adhere the left and right triangular pieces keeping the correct spacing from the middle three pieces.
