This door closer was very easy to install and a very great price it does have two adjustments on it for how fast the door closes and then how fast the door latches. It took me about 15 minutes to put on my door. I have bought several other door closer in the past that were just the cheap springs Or the kind with a bar that just pushes against the door they are all junk this one was less than $10 more than what those cost. I will buy this door closer every time I need to get something to close the door automatically. Definitely would recommend to anybody looking for a door closer. Work Perfectly! Has multiple mounting options. It's not designed for heavy metal doors, but I had a wood shed door (15 kg or around 35lbs) and I'm very happy with the result. It was easy to install, and worked ever since.The only drawbacks: 2. 1) (not due to the manufacturer or product) is "head strike." if the door you're trying to attach, the Door closer "arm" affixes to around mid-way of the upper door frame and around mid-door. The door closure unit can be mounted for either right or left side door closure, as either side of the base unit has identical attachment to affix the closure arm. The drawback is, if you have a smaller height door, all this mechanical working is mid-frame, so just be aware of that. I put a big, yellow stripe sign that says "WARNING: Head Strike!" - but if this is mounted on a regular sized door or screen door, it's over 200cm high and provides no concern at all.2) mounting screws. Metal /wood screws, and they will work, but you may find it prudent to drill thru the entire door and "bolt" both arm and base unit to the door/door frame instead w/a backplate instead.Again, I am very happy with this product and give it 5 Stars. It's reliable, works well, and I can adjust the tension and speed of door closing - instructions are easy to follow and unit works great.

The media could not be loaded.  First all, there must be longer screws for frame trim. After installation, it broke my trim since short screws couldn't hold strong enough with trim. I had to use 2 longer screws to go through trim back to frame wood.After installation, I found closing speed is hard to adjust from 30 degree until closure. It slaps door too heavily so my house shakes. I expected a gentle close instead. (Update 1: I have figured it out adjusting latching speed)2 adjustment screws for closing and latching are located at left side from the photo. It's hard to reach by using provided piece of tool.

Works great. Had one on my back for for two years because my kids would always leave the door wide open. It’s strong enough to keep a three year old from walking out the back door too which is a plus. It seemed weird opening the door at first but we’re all used to it now. I had to buy another for my man cave for the same reason but instead of kids it was drunk people :-)

Used a less robust door closer (residential type) and it would not open past 90 degrees. Purchased this one (made in India, sold out of Arizona), awesome product. It has 2 separate closing speeds (one for full open to 15 degrees, the second from 15 degrees to closed) fully adjustable. Closes my 150lb Security door with no problem.

I bought this item for the garage to house door. It worked well for the first 2 months, but now the door slams shut, the last 15 % used to soft close, which is the reason I bought the self closer in the first place. I tried adjusting it, but it just makes the first 85% move slower or faster, but it still slams at the last part.
