This is a good, no-nonsense, no-frills clipboard with a low profile clip.The low-profile clip is of course necessary for those of us who need to stash a clipboard in our backpacks to-go.Being made of wood, it's not ideal for outdoor use, but is ideal for inside. The clip is not the largest, really intended for around 50 pages at most. Of people who use clipboards -- students, teachers, office-people, contractors, construction workers, canvassers, coaches, etc -- I believe this clipboard is most suited to office-workers and students.Personally I am a mathematics student. I use this clip everyday for working on homework and taking notes. I like it quite a bit. For the sake of a decent review I think I will compare it to a clear-plastic low-profile clip I purchased for Staples for around the same price.This clipboard is wood, the other clipboard I have is clear plastic with a blue tint. The wood has a couple significant advantages over the plastic: it is much quieter when you set it down on a table, it is less showy, and much more minimalist and unobtrusive.The previous clipboard I purchased in plastic had some flex, and it was not perfectly straight. When I set down by plastic clipboard, it was slightly warped. This meant as I wrote on it I had to push down the plastic clipboard for it to sit flush with the table. It isn't particularly easy to describe, but this is just plain unacceptable. The one thing you want in a clipboard is for it to be straight, so you can set it down and write. This wooden clipboard is much better: there is a slight warp to it but much much less than the plastic clipboard from Staples. It sits flush with the table and doesn't flex. Perfect.The clip is nothing special. I would have preferred a clip without the metal base protruding off the top of the writing surface. This is a shame, because it means the top of pages get somewhat scuffed. Perhaps there are more expensive clipboards whose clip mechanism sits flush with the writing surface. They would probably be worth the investment if I could find them.The recycled wood smelt of glue when I received it. I've had it for a bit now and the smell is no longer too noticeable, but if you put it up to your face it's still there. I hope it goes away completely.Like all clipboards I've purchased with low-profile clips, this clipboard has a slide-out hanger. Mostly I think this is there so it can be hung up with other clipboards on store shelves, but can also be used to hang the clipboard on the wall. Personally I find these annoying because they jingle around when you carry the clipboard. I always remove them. Some are easier to remove than others. With my Staples plastic clipboard, I was able to pop it out without damaging it, so I can put it back in if desired. I didn't bother with this clipboard, and just cut it right off.Overall this is a very cheap clipboard but works well and is better for study purposes than the showy loud hard-plastic clipboards that are slightly higher in price. Don't bother spending any more, just go with this one.

Good product, just not for me. It is solidly built, but the bottom surface is unpleasant to touch - it makes my skin itch.

This is just way too expensive for what it is. Pre-pandemic I was able to pick up a clipboard from target for about a dollar.The backing of this is very rough, and it has an odd smell. I would not buy again.

Not much to say.

I bought this to replace my old hardboard clipboard that has soft corners after years of use. This clipboard will be use during the cold months when the metal clipboard will be too cold to hold. I expect many years of use with the new clipboard.

Nice and sturdy. Easy to use and a good value.

If you want a clipboard to hold a whole ream of paper, look elsewhere.But if you just need a simple clipboard to hold the few relevant papers that need attention, this one is awesome. If you clip a form to it so someone can use a pen and fill it out, it will work great. It is thin and light, but feels strong (both the board and the clip). I have no concerns about it breaking or wearing out under normal use. I ordered 3 at once and am glad I did.

I really liked this clipboard because it has the kind of clipping mechanism than is thinner and can be easily stowed in a backpack without it being awkward or getting stuck on something. I like to take notes on loose leaf paper often so have a sturdy clipboard that can easily go in and out of a bag is ideal. I've owned this for almost a year now and it still works great! I personally prefer the wooden material that this has as a back board and it has so far proven to be plenty durable.
