Vintage Miniatures Flowers Red, Fabric by the Yard

This fabric is so very thin and sheer. Not anything like you'd buy in a fabric store. I'll have to fold the fabric in half and use two layers of this for each pattern piece. I'll also need to use stabilizer to give the fabric enough weight.It's difficult to see, but the color of my fingers does show through when you hold up a single layer.Also, washing it for the first time frayed the edges terribly and pulled off enough threads to make stringy knots all the way around. I had to cut the selvedge off before beginning my project.After washing, I ironed the fabric. I knew I wouldn't be able to after stitching my project. No matter how much I tried I couldn't get the wrinkles out. I set the iron on dry hot cotton, then hot and steam, then a cooler temperature to see if that would work. Attached is a picture of the final ironing effort. I may try sprinkling water over or wet cloth over it before ironing it again. Maybe even homemade spray starch.I want to return it but I need it now and with the pandemic I can't go out shopping. I'll try more ironing techniques to try and make it smoother.I ordered different colors and patterns, 2 of the three frayed tremendously and all three have ironing issues.I plan to buy fabric from fabric stores even if I have to buy 2 yds minimum of each piece and pay shipping. I know I'll set least get good quality fabric.I'm so sad.I may have to dig through my scraps and change the look of the project.This is truly upsetting.

Your fabric is nice. My complaint...do you know how to cut yardage? I ordered 2 yards as one cut...not 2 one yard cuts! It's ridiculous to get multiple packages of the same fabric!

I was pretty skeptical about purchasing fabric online; I like to look and touch and see the colors in the light. But JoAnn is out of the question until I'm fully vaccinated and I needed a historical costume for an event. This print is cute; the fabric is good quality, and I got the full measure I ordered. The colors on this particular print are a little bit brighter than what shows in the photo, but not garishly so, so I was actually pleased with the difference. I would definitely order again from this vendor.

I really am pleased with this fabric and am going to order more. The quality and bright colors are perfect. It washes well...It's cotton! My fabric has the "cotton stamp". I am a 5 star crafter on etsy and I will use this for my product! You should try it and I do hope it works for you. It's perfect for my product.

I ordered several pieces from this company. The fabric quality was ok, however it was 42", not 45". The usable print width was 41", with another 1" total for the white label border. The length was exactly 36", without correction for fraying after washing. Make sure you don't need all you think you're getting.

I love this fabric. I'm using it for masks so I was looking for something a little lighter and this fits the bill. It launders well (few wrinkles) but you have to reinforce the edges with some straight stitches to prevent the excessive fraying. For the money, great value and so pretty.

Very nice fabric. Very soft. Quilt blocks to be cut. Does not fray.
