Kammok Roo Camping Hammock (Roo Red) - The World's Best Camping Hammock

Note: the Roo Red is actually orange (see my photo). I really like it though, so that's not a complaint for me.I've had this for a week and have spent some time in it almost every day. It's strong and soft. It's verrrrrry roomy. With the Python Straps and the biners, it's a very quick setup. I've already booked camping time in a few weeks because I have been waiting for a REAL hammock to use overnight. No more Costco jobbies for us. I have a Klymit hammock pad for it, which helps hold the sides open and off of me, as well as adding insulation and helping to lay flat. Even works on an asymmetrical lay. Going to pick up the Dragonfly bug net this weekend.Note: The second time I used it, I noticed some stitches coming loose on the inside drawstring's channel. I called Kammok and they said they'll fix stitching that affects the structure but this issue should not be a problem and the hammock was still usable. I agreed that it's still usable, but still returned for a replacement through Amazon. I hope it was just a one-off thing. If it happens again I'm just going to hand stitch it back myself. That's not a dealbreaker.

I spent a lot of time researching hammocks before I settled on getting a Roo and I have to say I'm thrilled with my choice. If you're looking for a hardcore, ultra lightweight hammock for camping or backpacking and every nano-gram counts then this is NOT the hammock for you. However if you're looking for a compact, lightweight hammock that is amazingly comfortable then get this hammock. Period.I'm 6'4" and about 275lbs so I really wanted something sturdy that I'd feel comfortable in. Of the hammocks I looked at this one had the highest weight rating (500lbs) so that was definitely a big factor. I've used it quite a bit in the 6 weeks I've owned it and have always felt stable and comfortable in it. A few times my wife has joined me in the Roo and we've had no problems. Not only is it sturdy but it feels incredible. Very soft and great for lounging in, sleeping or settling down with a good book. It has a great warranty and part of your purchase goes to a great cause. I'm loving my Roo and plan on getting another one soon. Happy Hanging!

I just received my Kammok a few days ago and I have to say I was suuuuuper disappointed in its color. I ordered the Roo Red which turned out to be orange. Not quite sure which planet this orange qualifies for red on. I really wish Kammok had more colors to choose from but alas. Other than that, this hammock is perfect!! I like to do my research before investing in any product and I am so glad I decided on this one. I have never owned a hammock before or set one up and I had this one up in minutes! I ordered them along with the python straps and all in all am very happy with my purchase. The hammock is super comfy and is a lot softer than I imagined it would be!

Everyone on the family enjoyed it right away, and the double version is really good for 2 adults sit together. There is no doubt, kids are absolutely happy to use it both as a nest and a swing on a campground!Also, there are extra items available in the market to keep your staff (like your electronics) organized.Two things to articulate: (1) we found that even a not-so-thick mat provides extra comfort when you get in, (2) be mindful to not let the hammock touch the land surface - especially when kids are playing in it - to minimize the rips.Great buy, definitely recommended for campers!

Hands down incredible! Looks awesome; comfortably blows ENO and Grand Trunk out of the water.It's more durable, holds more weight, and comes with better gear! The military grade aluminum carabiners don't rust. Triple stitching goes the length of the Kammok, compared to the double and single stitching on its competitors.The Kammok when loaded with 500lbs of cement, held its weight overnight and longer, while the Grand Trunk snapped after only 350lbs (while advertising 400lbs). This is worth every penny, and its diamond-ripstop design is crazy comfortable and ultra-strong!Last of all, if anything goes wrong, it has a lifetime warranty.

This is the BEST hammock and a value for the price. I have owned a couple of these now and now that my kids have mine maybe I can keep this one. You definitely need the python straps...other than that the possibilities are endless. It is nice that it fits 2 people and honestly I have never slept better.

Very sturdy hammock and supports up to 500lbs! I'm 6' 3" and fit very comfortably with a sleeping bag, blanket, and full pillow. I keep this in my backpack, primarily for spring to fall camping where I won't need a full tent. I also pack a tarp to pitch over the hammock if it starts to rain. Pairing with the python straps, sold seperately , is highly recommneded.

This is my third one. I think they will last forever so I am buying one for everyone in the family. The double nest is huge and easily fits 2 adults. However, I wouldn’t want to spend all day or night with double occupancy.
