This stuff will shine any metal surface. Takes tarnish right off silver and brass like magic. Leaves a slick feel to the metals, too. I suppose that's to protect and to keep the item from tarnishing again quickly. But if you're handling the item, just know it'll be slick for a while after you clean/polish it with this product.

I sell vintage items in my store and have had to clean up all measure of rusty, dirty old pieces. This stuff is strong and the smell is quite toxic but it has saved many an item for me with much less work than other products. I kept ordering a can here and there and finally just broke down and bought a full pack of 6. Wear gloves, use face mask etc., be careful, but it really worked for me.

We renovated our kitchen this fall. With over 80 drawer pulls in our kitchen, we debated replacing all the pulls. When I realized the old ones were 100% solid brass, I decided to clean them instead. After much experimenting, I learned that the best method was to clean first with BARKEEPERS FRIEND, and then with NEVER DULL. The brass pulls now shine like new! I then started experimenting throughout the house, indoors and out, and discovered that this combination will clean anything brass. I had tried all kinds of cleaners on our brass lamps on either side of our front door and nothing worked. This combination works! Highly recommended. I bought the pakckage of six jars and have gone through three jars already.

Received product - 6 pack - five of the can lids were off as they did not fit well. The sixth can's lid had been exposed to some chemical that welded it shut. From previous use, the product works great - but leaving it out in the open (as with a loose can lid) allows it to dry out and greatly diminishes its effectiveness. The manufacturer needs to improve their cans to match the good product in the cans! Amazon did a good job with the credit.

It's a good polish for copper and silver but I don't think it's as effective as Brasso. You really have to work hard to get the metal to look good. On the other hand it's not as messy to use as Brasso.

In the Navy, we had pastes and liquids for brass but Nevr-Dull was the cleaner of choice. It not only gave you a mirror shine, it eventually dissolved the pain in the butt clear coating on belt buckles.Unlike the familiar blue can, this one seems to be appealing to folks that are looking to shine auto chrome. I can't vouch for chrome but I think that Nevr-Dull is the king of brass.Not sure why, but you generally can't find this in the big box hardware stores. So the sixpack made sense for me.
