What I Like About it.
Quick to set up, here are a few things I love about this software: Additional free software included on the disk. Ability to manage multiple companies and easily switch between them. Super easy to generate reports, such as sales tax reports. The manual contains almost everything you need when you get stuck. No need to add items separately; you can simply write the item on the invoice, with an option to add it to the list. One-page invoicing: there's no need to add a customer, then add items, and finally combine everything into the invoice. You can type all the necessary information directly on the invoice in one place. Tips: If the program does not allow you to exit an invoice until you add a name or items, please do so, and you can delete the invoice afterward if needed.

Why the bad reviews??
If it hadn't been for the bad reviews, I would have tried this program a long time ago...I have been using an inexpensive, minimalist & somewhat glitchy invoice program for the last twenty years, and with the end of Windows 7 came my end of that software. So the trial and error began. I read review after review, on Amazon and online. I tried Quickbooks Online...they froze my account all while still charging the subscription fee...if you sign up with your mobile then you can't access certain account changes on your computer...you'll also be charged more monthly just to have a field for purchase order numbers? Really?? Then I tried the free NCH Suite offered by Amazon..it's only free for what, two weeks, then it won't print (that was a waste of time). It seems that every invoice company is just trying to lock customers into the lifetime 'monthly fee'. I do my expense reports on an Excel Spreadsheet I bought several years ago, and I like to write out my checks. All I needed was a program to make invoices (with customizable fields) and lists of those on a monthly or annual basis...just something basic. Upon opening this program up, it appeared that I'd be stuck with using the brightly colored templates, but after going into 'customize' and clicking on the box fields; then the color tabs above, I changed the background to white and the field heads to a light blue color, thus low ink use. The font sizes can also be changed. I like how the list of invoices is on the left hand side and always visible. This program also allows for emailing and creating PDFs. If you need something basic that doesn't overly connect all your accounts...this is well worth a try! Sincerely

Small business wonder.!
No re-up, no periodic payments. Takes a bit to get the knack of it, but it is all you need for a small business. Doesn't let you load pictures of items, but it is a onetime buy, and it is yours with zero need to go anywhere else. No more surprise costs.

Defective program / unhelpful company
I had high hopes for this program as I had a previous version and was totally satisfied. The only reason I purchased this newer version was that I just bought a new computer and the older version was not supported on Windows 7. I was completely disappointed and quite frustrated. Although the invoice was relatively easy to customize, the packing slip does not print out as the program promises (and having a packing slip in integral to my business). It states that ALL information that appears on the invoice will print, EXCEPT for the pricing. This is totally false. After spending countless hours trying to fix this situation (thinking it was something that I did incorrectly), I went to the company's support site and saw that others were also having this issue and were told that it was because the template was customized - which is one of the things that the program boasts about, being able to customize the invoice template!!! I sell products so I need specific columns for line item number and part number, in addition to description, condition, quantity and price. However, when the packing slip prints it only shows 3 columns: the column heading for line number (but with the corresponding part number - not the line item number), the description column and the quantity column. I'm not a novice and have a daughter that works for an online company that has developed software. This program has a legitimate bug and it's unfortunate that Avanquest Software (the company behind this debacle) MyInvoices & Estimates Deluxe is not willing to resolve it and issue an upgrade.
