I bought these specifically for a fairly unique reason - keeping my cats out from under my bed. They happen to be just the right height and width that they serve this role perfectly. Furthermore, they have allowed me to slightly increase my underbed storage while switching to containers that are easier to access than the long, cumbersome ones I used to have. My only complaint would be the fact that some of the inner ridges of the lids came cracked or broken. I used some packing tape to resecure the pieces. Even with them cracked or broken off, I don't THINK they'd significantly negatively impact the function of these containers. We'll see how well they hold up long term.

31 quart is perfect for canning jars. If you are ok with them not being in rows you can fit 17 quart size jars. And they work great for smaller jars also, cut cardboard to divide and stack. I've been happy with everything I've gotten from the IRIS brand. Perfect balance of price and quality. I was considering soft side or cardboard storage for my jars and these rodent proof and sanitizable containers are actually less $$. Nearly straight sides, lock together stacked, locking lids with lip and foam seal.

I love these because they have a tight seal on them. I received 2 containers with broken handles and 1 cracked container. I was able to remove broken handles and use the ones from the cracked container. I had to use the containers right away so I was not able to return them and wait for replacement. After removing and replacing pieces I ended up with only 1 unusable container. I contacted IRIS customer service via email and explained the issue. They promptly returned the email saying they would send a replacement container to me and I would have it within 14 days. Great customer service.!

The product is amazing. Had to order 3 different times to get the entire set. This happened with another size as well but MAN are these things great!!! Worth the hassle. Great for holiday decorations and keep sakes. They do surprisingly great in outdoor sheds and even better in climate controlled indoor areas. The foam seal is a MUST if your storing outside.

Good but arrived broken too often. Better Gormet than old. Redesign was better. Plastic is brittle and cracks to often, latches on side have small pins that fit into a eyelet that break off by just closing the lid. You cannot buy them from the company (so they want you to buy another box to fix a broken clamp). So boxes come and they use cheap cardboard packaging, pins on latches show up broken, no support after the fact. If you use their phone number and expect a call back, you can expect a call back never to date. (Used this a half dozen times, only once did they call back. If you do get someone, their phone system will sometimes disconnect you. Good luck, best product in some ways, support is non existent and design quality is poor ( they could use better material for latches and larger diameter pins, better Packing material in general. Weatherproofing material is better than before as a plus, but don’t waste your money. The quality of the product may be 3 but add in life that they will last with broken latches, make it a one, do not purchase in my suggestion. I do think it is now weatherproof with redesign of the Grommet manufacture, plastic cracks to easy and poor design of Latch pin keeps me from recommending it.

These Iris/Igloo storage bins stack nicely, have a tight-fitting lid, have lid clamps that seem to work well, and are a nice size for many products. Their generally square-corner design means they hold more or waste less space than many storage bins of similar size. I like the gasket around the lid, which provides a seal. I don't know how long the gasket will last, but under hot, cold, or normal conditions I would expect several to a number of years of durability from the material. It is possible to get the lid-clamping handles to "pop" off, but with a little patience, they can be reattached. Lid clamps on all storage bins are a weak link; however, the design of these handles seems better than many I've used in the past. All plastic storage bins have a finite life; however, some bins have greater utility than others. Many bins taper so much from top to bottom that what they will hold is compromised. Some bins when stacked slide every direction. These bins have relatively straight sides, and when stacked they stay in place (although I'm sure in a vehicle with fast corning they will slide). Plastic storage bins don't have the durability of steel bins with durable lid-clamping handles. What they do have is a price point that makes them affordable for many uses, unlike steel bins. These Iris/Igloo storage bins are priced well for their quality. They aren't the cheapest bins, but they certainly aren't prohibitively expensive. So far I've purchased them in several sizes and am totally satisfied with them.

Really wasn't sure how many stars to leave here, 5 or 1, depending. I've bought a lot of these boxes. Provided you're holding a completely uncracked full up example, they're my favorite storage box, heavy duty, good latches, stack well. However I'm very frustrated right now, as the incidence of them being broken upon arrival is insane: a couple patently shattered examples, but every single lid and box REQUIRES careful inspection for cracks, especially around fasteners, structural ribs, and the nubs on the side of the black fasteners. I strongly reccomend to the manufacturer to add some form of padding to their shipping box, add thickness to these areas, or likely both. Many of the photos I've uploaded are relatively minor, but when I'm paying more for the name brand made in America heavy duty long term storage sealed option, "just a little bit" broken/chipped/cracked upon arrival is nowhere close to acceptable. I hate to say it, but if you need 8 good boxes, I would order at least 12; in my experience you'll have no problem making up a 4x4 set of breaks from this order to return.

I love these boxes. We have limited storage in our condo, so we use our covered balcony to store some items. These perfectly sealed, air tight boxes come in handy. We store our winter jackets and some bags inside. Add a few moisture wicking gels, a mothball or two and they are the perfect storage companion.

This is a good product and was just what I needed. However the shipping and handling was a problem, which is why I only gave the product 3 stars. The three storage boxes were packed in a cardboard box by IRIS and the box did say fragile on two sides. However the three lids are stacked on top of each other at the top of the box and the top two lids arrived damaged as per the pictures. I'm keeping the lids because I think that the pieces that broke off do not affect the seal and are there mostly for alignment purposes. Still for the price, it is annoying that the pieces were broken off of two of the lids and in my case a lot of pieces broke off almost all of those alignment tabs on each lid as shown in the picture. I believe this happened because something heavy was set on top of the box which compressed the top two lids into the third lid. So to IRIS, I would say, pack the three storage boxes in a sturdier cardboard box or add some packing between the product and the top of the box. To Amazon, do not set anything heavy on the cardboard box when delivering. To anyone who is considering purchasing this product, sometimes the option is there to repackage the product in Amazon packaging for shipment. If so, do it, because I think if these storage boxes are double boxed or repackaged properly they have less chance of arriving to you damaged.

Sturdy and secure seal but one handle was broken when I received it. I would appreciate a replacement please.

Ok, first the negatives. I received 1 with a single broken handle, and the smell of them is pretty terrible. Even after a year or so the ones I haven't used, or have only used a small amount have that chemical smell, and I did leave them open for just under 2 days when I first got them. The good, they stack really well, and are light weight. When not in use you can stack them inside each other and top with the lids, although the lid aren't super smooth to stack. They feel really durable, as a 100kg person I can sit on them without feeling like I am going to break them (although I do not recommend as seats).
