Cast Net
Net is a good quality. I used it this past weekend and it was very productive in catching bait.

Great net, worth the price.
Excellent quality. Worth the price. The was my first purchase of a larger cast net. I had a 4 foot one, but needed a larger one. The small hole size allows you to catch smaller bait plus doesn't get hung up in the gills of larger bait fish. I soaked it in a 5 gallon bucket with 1 cup of fabric softener overnight before using and it became nice and limp and easy to throw. Nice an heavy weight. I have not used it for bait yet, but through it in the pool a bunch and sinks nice and quick. My friends have cheaper nets and you can tell the difference right away. Problem is I probably won't want anyone else to throw mine.

Good net with small issue
Overall, very pleased with net. Its not stiff and weights seem consistent. Would gave 5 stars except that some of the stitching around the bottom weights are sloppy, uneven and somewhat frazzled. Couple places the nylon thread around the weights would catch the netting, keeping it from totally pancaking. Had to restitch a couple, not really a big deal but for a new net, shouldn't happened.

Best 1/4" mesh net I've ever owned.
1/4" mesh is great for smaller bait. I put this net through rocks and trees and snags. I've patched it a few times and it is still holding up for 3 years now.

Always a good quality cast net
I always like these cast nets for their affordability and durability. Can't go wrong for a nice mid price cast net.

As a striper and catfish guide, it about the bait
If you get a smaller cheap net, it will snap back on you before you hit the water. If you ever watch a cast net on a Garmin Live Scope, you'll see how quickly a cast net closes as it falls. You have to get the net all the way open as the net hits the water. Bett's nets are soft and made of the best materials. As a striper and catfish guide, and if you can't catch live bait, you have to work way harder to put clients on fish. 1/4 inch or 3/8? What one is better for you? Depends on what you're catching. If I use 3/8 mesh, I get way too many shad caught in the net. Gills caught on the net and then they're as good as dead. This 1/4 inch will fall slower but the heavier weighs help compensate

Best net I own
I have had many cast nets over the years. Betts are superior to most other cast nets I have owned. Opens easy when thrown. Nice weights on bottom of net. Easy to handle. Highly recommend,
